Reception took a long time, and 3 staff members, to check me in. Room given to me not according to booking, bigger but road view in stead of garden view. Lobby bar, nice area, takes an awful long time to get served. Had to go to the actual bar to ask to get served, and even then it took 10minutes. Other guests went to get their drinks themselves, so long it took.

This was my 3rd or 4th stay in Rixos Almaty. I like the hotel, the set up, lobby, and services offered. The room was big (not as booked but ok), matras good, amenities plenty. Breakfast of good standard, with good service.

Air temperature in room was controlled and I was very warm , asked to turn thermostat down but was told not possible. If I opened the sliding door for fresh air the noise and smell from autos was too heavy

The room we got was disappointing. It was supposed to be a deluxe room and the pictures on booking.com of this kind of the room were much more appealing than what was offered to us on site. Unfortunately the breakfast was not as good as we would expect - the choice of food, fruit was limited and drinks were disappointing.

Customer Service is a little bit slow in terms of fixing and giving solutions to customer issues. (Booking a taxi or checkout took a little bit too much).

The service was a bit slow, and several reminders were needed to get what we wanted. Despite reminding several times about a local cooking class, the reception never came back to me.

The breakfast is excellent - plenty of choice, very fresh, and a combination of different cuisines: European, Asian and local. All dishes are beautifully presented. Bed linen is very pleasant and comfortable. The bathtub is big enough for two people to enjoy. Bath condiments have a nice aroma. Park view rooms are very quiet and you hear no city noise. There is a smoking lounge in the lobby, which is great.

The staff can be a bit slow sometimes, especially at the reception - only two work at a time. I personally couldn’t get an airport transfer because their email couldn’t get through to me.

Enormous hotel with many facilities and top of the class spa and hamam. The food is also very good, and they provide a wide range of cuisines.

Room service fillet steak was excellent but let down twice with unavailable preferred rocket salad and/or soup. Quality varied from Friday night to Saturday night-Friday excellent subject to above, however Saturday soup like porridge and steak sauce poor-Other n that breakfast was guid and service pretty guid. You need a check list for house daily maintenance. Not one bedside or desk lamp light working - Not a big deal but with a little more attention could be excellent. Having said that the lamps were fixed immediately I reported their non function so thumbs up fae your lads there.

At night, the weather in Almaty was cool. That's why we asked for a heater. Officials did not help. The split system of the room was only cooling, the heating system was inactive.

The pool didn’t work when we arrived and we was not informed about it at the time of a booking. All entrance doors to do room had a squeaky sound. They should work on more improving restaurants offerings as after breakfast you don’t have a good choice to eat in the hotel.

Staff in the hotel is amazing and very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms has rain shower and worm floors. Very centrally located, next to nice park, Starbucks and Grocery. Hammam treatment is very good and I would recommend.

The tray on the desk near TV had small bottles of wine, water and a snack which looked like complimentary offers in the Premium room, but they were then charged as if they were in the minibar. The housekeeping guy kept coming back to check the minibar. I did not touch anything in the actual minibar fridge. Shower cubicle had standing water on the floor and the maintenance technician adjusted the level but did not fix the issue.

Nice location in the old city centre, near a park and other amenities (shops, cafes, transport). Beautiful atrium lobby with local character and design. Didn't use the restaurant or spa, but they look nice too. Staff was mainly courteous and professional, although some did not speak English or spoke very little English.

Room had a broken bed light. The bath tap water switch arm was broken. The air conditioning could not adjust itself to set temperature. It was heating too much and I had to wake up and turn it on when the room gets too hot and again, I had to wake up and turn it on when the room got cold. Off course this turn on turn off cycle was more than 1 for each night. This effected our sleep quality in a terrible way for both nights. The bed itself was old and deformed in the middle. The middle section was lower than the edges. As a face down sleeper, it made me sleep in a backwards arched position so it was not comfortable for me. For the price we paid for this hotel, these problems are simply unacceptable. You can see all of these problems in the photos I am uploading.

Breakfast is good, the lobby is comfortable and has a luxurious feeling. Location is at the hearth of the city, there is a larger market on the next corner if you don't want to pay high prices of hotel menu. We haven't checked the spa but it looked promising in the promo material.

The hotel is tired, room was not up to standard, no minibar, forgot a welcome gift and pillows were terrible. Breakfast was thin & people take suitcases to tables and knock other people, as there is not enough space.

This hotel just has name Rixos nothing inside has anything to do with the reputable brand. The rooms are old, wore and not very well maintained. Housekeeping works 2-3 guys together but it is just watching phone apps together not for the service. Not every socket works in the rooms (I stayed in 2 and both had this issue).
