I was charged a tourist fee and my colleagues were not charged the fee as we are all here on a work visa. Furthermore there was no single person rates. I paid the same amount as my colleagues who shared with their spouses. This is discrimination against single people. The breakfast menu did not cater for different cultures. There was no lamb or chicken as I don't eat beef. I did not get value for my money .

I specifically requested a quiet room (if possible) and upon check-in was told I was given a very quiet room. That room ended up being above the terrace bar where there is live music from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM some nights and the closest to the elevators which meant that I had all the "elevator traffic" walking by multiple times a day and night. That room also has the disadvantage of the cooking smells from the Olivio restaurant, especially in the mornings. For the record that is room 502 (I would avoid...) The 2nd night I was moved to another room that ended up being just on the other side of the terrace bar... Also because it was very windy, the cables that tether the canopy above the bar creaked all night (not the hotel's fault but very annoying.) I was told it is best to avoid upper floors on that side of the lake when it is windy as the cables are much closer to the room windows. Duly noted!

The staff is awesome, super helpful and very pleasant. I would like to specially acknowledge Vladislas (at the Chalet), Temirlan and Balnur (at the Summer cafe), Zhyldyzay and Alinur (who helped with my room), and Yerlan and Alexei at the front desk for their efforts in making my stay more pleasant. It is very much appreciated! The location of the hotel is optimal, with a sandy beach by Lake Shchuchie. It also has a nice spa, and some delicious food!

This hotel is a great place to relax. This time everything went well.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I noticed very positive changes in hotel management and renovation. Special thanks to Maral or Marzhan (I don't exactly remember her name) at reception desk and Jesper, general manager of the hotel, for his help and recommendations during our stay. We had a great time during our stay.

1) the swimming pool area is quite small and I think some school children (which were not staying at the hotel) were having swimming classes while we were there. as a result, it felt really crowded and very noisy obviously. and these children weren’t even hotel guests, but random children having swimming classes 2) I really didn’t like the music that was playing outside of the hotel (at the ice skating rink near the lake). the music was tasteless and it was super loud. I’m sure people come to Borovoe to enjoy the nature and listen to the sounds of nature, not to some really bad Russian pop music

SPA is pretty generic and nothing special. Some utilities are a bit worn out. Restaurants prices are a bit too high for this quality and service.
