Parking was tight but we always had a spot. Just have to be careful at night if you are returning from dinner. The gate lock was a little cumbersome if you forgot something in your car. But these are very minor things.

Without a single doubt, we'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend time in the northern part of St Lucia. We booked the queen room with the ocean and jungle view and I simply never got tired of being on the balcony and looking out - esp eating breakfast each morning. Beautiful, relaxing, everything you could want in a tropical stay. The fact that it also had a pool to relax in and an amazingly short walk to the East Winds resort beach, which was stellar, made this stay unbeatable. The price/value is spot on with the services and quality. The location is easy to get to off the main road and we found it simple to get to Pigeon Island and the Friday street party. The kitchen was super functional for us. The bathroom with shower temperature and pressure were also perfect. The ac is located near the bed and kept us cool. It also cooled down the bedroom at night quickly. Running the ceiling fan in the other room was good to mix the air. The provided drying racks for our beach towels (provided) and swimwear made everything very functional. Keith had great communications and provided all the necessities as far as plug adapters, hairdryer, dishes, beach towels, etc. One note, bring your own shampoo.

Everything was great

Location, location, location! Close to Rodney Bay and Castries. Very easy to take the transport in and out of town. The distance to the beach and ocean view was amazing. I loved having breakfast watching the ocean.

What's not to like?

Nice, comfortable apartment in a small block, built by Keith and run by him and his family for many years. The pool is shaded by lush vegetation and the beach is close by. Keith's nephew, Tony, drove us to and from the airport and did a great tour of the island for us as well - we recommend him! Travel was easy thanks to the ubiquitous, cheap buses. Plenty to see and do if beaches and pool aren't enough.

Because of the beautiful views, the apartment is on a hill so just be prepared for a few steps getting to the pool and the beach. It's totally walkable, but there isn't handicap paths.

The staff is exceptional! Keith, Sabine and Angela were so kind, helpful and gracious. The apartment was clean, the pool is gorgeous and the view is exceptional.

Our accommodation had a double bed, my self and my husband are used to at least a kingsize so found it a bit small.

Would recommend the upper floor rooms 9 or 10 for a lovely view over gardens and towards the sea. Keith is lovely chap along with his 3 friendly dogs, pool is great for a dip too

Great location. Amazing host who runs his establishment from the heart - nothing is too much trouble.The apartment is excellently equipped and the view from the balcony is life affirming. Fantastic welcome touches such as starter pack of tea and coffee. Would recommend to anyone looking for a low key stay.

Friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Couldn't do enough for all the guests, which all in all made for a relaxing, wonderful stay . Really can't rate this place high enough. Lovely refreshing pool and very short walk to a beautiful beach. We both feel sad to leave which says it all!

No real sea view from the studio apartment unfortunately. But the owner did trim back the bushes a bit so you can see a bit of blue through them.

Comfortable 2 bed apartment with an amazing view. Short walk to a fantastic beach. Free WiFi worked well. Good value for money for the location. Keith was a great host and really cares that you have an enjoyable stay - he went out of his way to book us a catamaran trip at late notice.

We appreciated the warm welcome by Keith, the beautiful little freshly painted apartment with amazing views over his lush tropical gardens, the cleanliness (wonderful testament to Angela ‘s hard work and care), the attention to detail - a new blender for our smoothies and all other kitchen equipment in great working order, and the balcony with comfortable chairs for our morning and evening enjoyment of nature. Keith was fascinating to talk with. We wished we could have stayed longer in apt Espoir and hope to return someday!

DON'T forget your mosquito spray....nothing to do with being at Espoir....it's a St Lucia thing !

Keith is an absolutely wonderful host....fresh fruits from his amazing garden, extremely helpful and full of advice on what to do, where to go. His garden is an absolute paradise...I'd go back again just for the experience of being surrounded by such beauty and tranquility. A really unforgettable holiday and Espoir is a great place to stay, so close to a little beach , clean and homely. Also had a mosquito net...great protection against those mosquitos !! Bed and pillow VERY comfortable.

Parking spots were tricky but par for the course on Saint Lucia.

Keith the owner was so interesting and helpful. we loved meeting him and his recommendations for exploring the island were great! The view from Espoir was also amazing and the apartment had everything you could need. if you can stay on the top floor for the best view.

It wasn't an issue for me, but as previous review states, there are steep stretches of road and garden path.

I had the most wonderful stay at Espoir in January 2023. As many other reviews have said, Keith is a charming host, so friendly and helpful. At the same time, I had as much peace and quiet as I liked. My studio room was just as photos show - very clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. Beautiful balcony with lush garden planting at arm's length, full of birdsong. A few minutes walk to lovely quiet beach at Labrellotte Bay. Along the beach Windjammer Landings Hotel welcomed non- residents for lunches ( bit too rocky to walk in the dark). 10 -15 mins walk to supermarket and minibuses.
