The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Lovely colonial resort with lots of wildlife and lush gardens. Swimming pool lovely. Great gym & spa. Squirrels very entertaining too!

The spa's prices are excessively high. Despite the presence of lifeguards, the sea was choppy during our stay, so it's important to be vigilant while enjoying the beach.

The hotel is stunning; the moment you step inside, it's a "wow" experience. Everything is beautifully decorated and seamlessly blends with the local culture. Surrounded by lush greenery, the property exudes positive energy. Our private room host, Thisari, was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs. There are numerous complimentary activities available. We enjoyed a guided nature walk and a boat ride on the lagoon, both great experiences. Additionally, there are various other activities to diversify your stay without ever leaving the hotel. All staff was very kind and always with a smile. While at the beach, we met Sri, a travel agent who helped arrange our transportation to the next hotel. I highly recommend his services; everything went smoothly, and it was more affordable than we had anticipated.

The restaurants were superb in terms of food quality and variety, but the outdoor restaurant lighting could be improved to give a nicer ambience.

We booked at the Anantara Oeave Haven and it didn’t fail to amaze us! Great facility, with amazing views, experiences, activities for all family members, and most of all very good staff. The Soa was great, the gym facility was perfect in terms of equipment variety and opening hours.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were going to be wanting to extend our stay… so we did. It was truly one of the best places we have stayed in the world. Staff, facilities, our villa host, Prashan, were excellent. The eye for detail in everything was remarkable. All restaurants were fantastic, breakfast was delicious. Can’t fault it.

We had the half board package which actually only included dinner at the buffet restaurant. To eat at the other two a la carte restaurants cost extra, with a discount on some items, but we didn’t feel the discount was reasonable when already paying for dinner with the package.

This is a lovely resort with a private beach. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was all delicious and lots of choice across the three restaurants. The pool villa room we had was amazing with our own private pool. It was really quiet and lovely to sit and relax. Our villa host Yohan was really friendly and helpful, we could WhatsApp him any requests and he would sort them very promptly, and he would pick us up in the electric tuk tuk to transport us around the resort. There is a lovely main pool area and you can access the hotel’s beach easily which has lovely views, although the sea was too rough to swim in. Nice complimentary activities like yoga. The spa is very nicely done with a relaxing atmosphere, although more expensive than other treatments at other Sri Lanka hotels. The resort is well designed and there is wildlife easily seen around the resort like peacocks and monkeys.

Wine list is definitely needed to be reviewed and upgraded. We tasted a lot of white Chardonnay, and they all were very basic and like “house wine” even despite quite high price.

Amazing food in the main restaurant, we were impressed by the level, quality and variety! Bravo to the chef! Very good attentive staff, beautiful location and rooms - I would recommend it definitely!

It is something not in their hands i suppose but the beach is inaccessible as it is very rough. The staff should also provide a list of activities to do at the property and around.

The Property is gorgeous and vast. there is a lot to do at the property. The food at the breakfast buffet and at all the restaurants was exceptionally good and the service was prompt and efficient.

The hotel was excellent in every aspect. The staff provided amazing service, and our designated host, Thisari, was particularly outstanding. She was highly responsive, quick, and attentive, contributing to making our visit more comfortable. Thisari's professionalism added to the overall positive experience. The rooms were clean, offering a stunning view, and the on-site restaurants were delightful. The pools were not only beautiful but also provided a marvelous view. While the beach was lovely, we weren't able to swim in it due to its strong waves. Overall, our experience was great, and I would definitely consider revisiting when I come to Sri Lanka in the future. The combination of excellent service, clean accommodations, breathtaking views, and delightful amenities makes this hotel a top choice for future visits!!

We had an all inclusive package being a family - we also booked one of their top rooms... so what did I detest ? Unlike other hotels you only had what was in the mini bar and once used you had to pay for more items! Water incl ! Also ... the dinner menus for all inclusive were much smaller in options than the other a la carte menus ... and the bar selection was incredibly limited and poor quality. All that which made us feel frustrated and ripped off...

Amazing staff and location. Room had a great beach view... we would love to return if they sorted the all inclusive selections ( see my other comments)
