We had a lovely stay at the remote, jungle location of Arsulana. We were greeted by Ashley who gave us a warm welcome and tips for our stay. The food and service was good and we really enjoyed our white water rafting. Overall a great place to spend a few days on your way to the tea country.

- it was sometimes difficult to communicate with the waiters/waitresses (still they where all kind and lovely) -the coffee could be stronger but it’s common for Sri Lanka (better order tea)

I would have liked to see more plant-based dishes with lots of fruits and vegetables on the menus. Coming from the west, I wasn't interested in having typical western dishes as featured on the dinner menu - but the staff were super accomodating and prepared a delicious Sri Lankan meal.

Beautiful facilities in the jungle forest - very peaceful and serene. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and I loved the room. The garden is incredible and you really feel immersed in nature.

Everything! It’s hidden in the middle of the nature next to a beautiful river. The interior and architecture of the accommodation blend beautifully in the green area. You’re really in the nature, with plants, bushes, creeks, trees and cute animals sticking out everywhere. At the same time you have all the conveniences of a luxurious and gorgeously designed lodge. Just as the place itself, the surrounding area is amazing. There are stunning waterfalls and river spots nearby. Walking around is convenient as there are barely any cars on the roads. The staff is amazing. Helpful and kind in a serene way. Honestly the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka, wished we could stay longer. We hope to come back. Visit it now before it becomes too popular.

The wash room biding showers are leaking , at arrival time when we inquire about lunch the staff was like the kitchen was closed after an argument we got our lunch , When we inquire about a BBQ the chef was saying the property is busy if so they should not take guest if they cant handle what i saw was chef was hanging around the phone all the time The manager lady does not know anything about hotel management she is also busy with her phone I would recommend the owner to look into these things as its a jewel

The property is located in a iconic location and the rooms were very comfortable . Its good escape location to relax your mind

My only critics would be that due to its remote location some activity was missing. A billiard table or table tennis would be an option so that people could spent also time this way.

The property is in the middle of the Jungle, so to say. It takes approximately 30min to reach it from the main road. The service, the accommodation itself was perfect for all those looking out for quietness and an area to relax. All the workers are awesome and help you with everything. Food was also amazing!

The way to the lodge is difficult and narrow, but the views are worth visiting. If they can provide kettle and coffee in the room, that would be awesome.

The Arsulana Lodge was far beyond our expectations. The staff were so friendly and by the end of our visit felt like family. The views from our villa were incredible - We had not visited Sri Lanka before and being immersed in the jungle, surrounded by nature was just what we were after. There were further natural wonders to explore near the villa which we traveled to by tuc tuc. We feel blessed having visited such a natural wonder and 100% intend to visit again.

You are in the jungle, to reach the property you have to travel 40 minutes on a wasted road. Since you cannot do otherwise, it seems a little bit like a robbery to ask 3000 rupees for the pickup from and to the outside world. From a luxury place like this one you would expect to being able to both pay with credit card and have your laundry done. But it is not so, a really pity!

The place is gorgeous!! Big rooms furnished with great taste, fully immersed in nature. Super comfy bed with clean sheets, big and clean bathroom, awesome hot shower. The owner was so kind to upgrade me to an even better room for the first two nights because there was availability. He was always there to assist me, arranged the transfer to Adam's peak and also an AMAZING massage. Breakfast is average but dinner is really good, there must be a proper chef in the kitchen! If you want to relax, just come here (and do not try to get out until the end of your stay because it's a nightmare: don't come here if you want to move around)

You should be aware of leeches around the wet grass areas. (Especially at night) Wifi connection should be better

Quite, peaceful atmosphere with waterfalls nearby. We heard this amazing sound of running water all the time. Unique modern design of the hotel in total, including rooms interior and exterior. Also lounge zone and dining rooms are stunning. Everything was clean, Delicious food, excellent breakfast. Stuff was extra kind and helpful. We really enjoyed spending time with Dushan (Hotel manager)

They don't serve alcohol :) but they resolved that as quickly as they could given the distance to local shops!

This isn't just a stay in an amazing hotel, it's a totally unique experience. It allows you to experience the depths of the jungle in exquisite comfort a true one-off luxury. Great service, very tasty food, clean,, comofrtable...unforgettable.
