The air conditioner was noisy in the night . Mini- Fridge could be cleaner. Some staff are attentive, others could do better.

Location was excellent. Very clean beach. Staff helpful. Check in experience was good. Food excellent. The buffet spread was great, food exceptionally delicious. Great variety including different types of seafood included.

We upgraded to a larger room on our 2nd visit but found the regular rooms and bathrooms more modern and better designed so would definitely stick with that price level next time.

The hotel is located within tropical gardens next to the beach. It is within easy distance of the airport and is a perfect stopping off point at the start/end of a holiday. The 2 pools, beach bar and spa are well appointed and maintained. The restaurant opens out onto the pool and gardens,, making a relaxing start to the day at breakfast time. The staff are attentive and helpful.

Some parts of the hotel looked a bit dated, and could’ve done with a bit of refurbishing. There was a slight damp smell in my bathroom and the balcony doors were filthy dirty, they needed a good clean!! The air conditioning was also extremely loud… I had to turn it off because it was keeping me awake. The cocktails were also disappointing, yet quite expensive - stick to wine or beer if you’re drinking alcohol.

The swimming pool area was beautiful and very well kept! The restaurant was also lovely and served great food. The staff were all really helpful and very friendly.

They don’t have elevator which was a bit painful for me since I have an injured foot. But the thing I really did not enjoy was the employer that was responsible for sunbeds and umbrellas. He interrupted me many times asking questions, he was staring at me from time to time and at a certain point I had to tell him to leave me alone. As a woman travelling alone it is unfortunately not the first time I see this happening but I have to admit that it ruined a bit my afternoon by the pool. On top of that, although I was told the pool was open until 8pm, around 6-6:30 they took all the sun beds away and employees (more men) were looking at me and I felt obliged to leave. Another thing that is annoying in this area is all the crows around. At breakfast there was even one that attacked my plate.

The room was beautiful, with an amazing view, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good. Also, in the evening there was a man playing saxofone by the pool- it was a nice environment for my last evening in Sri Lanka.

Be careful of the extra charges when ordering a meal/drink as it can add up to a lot. The bedrooms really need a deep clean.

I think there were people coming just for the day and in in one of our four days there, there was a big group coming and had a very loud party, with dj and they were very drunk. Was not very relaxing.

Minor point, but the reception/lobby area is a bit dated.

Location is ideal for the airport. We used this hotel as a bookend for our trip around the island. The food is varied and excellent. The pool(s) area is clean and well equipped, with lovely views of the beach and sea.
