Bandulla was an excellent host and gave us a wonderful tour of the Sinharaja Rain Forest. The room was a bit moldy, but staying for only two nights wasn't a problem. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

The location was close to the town yet immersed in dense greenery. Most important Badulla the host is an environmentalist /botanist with vast experience of forest life and guests can avail themselves through guided forest walks. Additionally the meals on offer were fabulous.

Wifi not so good in my room but down stars works goodi.

The owner is very king and helpful, with him I did the tour at the forest. The room was good and the eara is very beautiful. If you like to dinning is possible and breakfast with extra chages. Shower works good and hot.

Bundala is one of the two brothers that pioneered the guiding scene in sinharaja rainforest preserve. he is an excellent tour guide and excellent biologist and host. Prices are fair and you really receive an excellent tour with him. The room was a bit filled with spiderwebs and ants unfortunately. This is life in the rainforest however.

If you are looking for a budget accommodation then this is The place - very close to the center of town. Owner Mr. Bandula will give you good guidance for day tours and travels. He organized an excellent day trip for us which was the highlight of our stay here. He arranged a tuk tuk to take us on the day ride and the tuk tuk driver was a wonderful person too. Food was ok but we had mostly sandwiches only. wash room very spacious. We had room number 7 which had good day light too. have a corridor where we can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.

It's humid here, so even pillows are slightly covered with mold, but it's more of a climate problem common to Sri Lanka.

Great location - close to the Deniyaya bus stop and Cargill's. You can easy reach Mederipitiya by public bus to visit Sinharaja Forest. Nice view from the terrace and spacious room. The owner is very helpful.

Everything is great. Mr. Bandula, the owner, who is truly exceptional and a respected figure in Deniyaya town. If your plans include staying in Deniyaya for the purpose of exploring Sinharaja, he is undoubtedly the best and coolest guide out there who knows every single inch of Sinharaja. Their warm hospitality, home made food and the cozy atmosphere at Eco Villa truly make it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Highlight of our tour in Sunharaja Rainforest! We absolutely loved doing this tour and would recommend it to ANYONE who wants to do an experience in Deniyaya area. Our guide Bandula was brilliant - super friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable - educating us not only on the food element but about Sinharaja in general. His wife cooked Srilankan authentic food for us and those were really delicious which is true but you will definitely come away feeling VERY full from all the tasters. Thank you again Bandula and while family- we wouldn't have wanted anybody else to show us around!

After booking i contacted the property to check possible options, got quick responses, and room was ready when we arrived. Great location, few steps from ugly main road/city already feels like diffrent world. There are few kinds of rooms - budget ones are very simple, our room had quiet (!) air condition and electrical water heater (that worked), new mattraces and sparkling clean sheets. For this price it was more than i expected. As for forest walk, badulla is still the best in what he does - great sense of humor, great knowledge of flora and fauna of the Forest, more than 25 years of experience! Please notice - theres jungle outside and air is humid, which means you will meet occasional ant around your room, and there could be some moisture of walls or furniture. Those expecting western standard should look into 50+ usd price range, all others,who understand where they arrived will be happy to save few bucks.
