Food are not much taste. They’re should change. Specially lunch and dinner

Facilities were simple, but good for the price. Felt that some of the room could be cleaner. WiFi also didn’t work for us but we didn’t ask so might have been our problem.

Simple but had everything we needed. Host was nice and helpful. Excellent location opposite elephant sanctuary.

Very good quiet location just behind the world famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. You can watch the Giants of the earth from the room balcony. New and clean please. Enjoyed a traditional Sri Lankan country style meal. Really appreciate the amazing hospitality and the friendly service by the caretaker Roshan. Very good value for money. Regular intrusive offers of services for various activities with elephants at the usual cost. The water in the room was turned off an hour before checkout. Also there is no internet if there is a router in the room.

Spacious comfortable room with a good view of the elephant sanctuary. You can watch the elephants from your balcony. There was also breakfast in the room.

Pinnawala is village and over 1 day is nothing do to there.

Cheap hotel with nice view, very friendly and helpful hotel workers. We get it very good price to ride,feed and wash elephants

The dirt track to the main road, although not too far, was very dark and very uneven Mosquito nets for the bed would have been good

Value for money, as primarily a short break whilst touring. One night would have been enough to see what Pinnawala had to offer.

Bathroom didn't have geyser facility

Superb hospitality by the caretaker of the place Roshan. He didnt refuse for any of our request and was very polite in all conversations. Further the property was super clean. Room size and bathroom size were more than expected and the view form the 2nd floor was amazing. We could see the elephants from our room at around 8.30 am

Everything about this stay experience was just 10/10. The caretaker Roshan is an amazing person and the host Kristi is always available on call to help us with anything and everything around and about the stay. We loved the view, the food served and the hospitality. They also took our last minute request of arranging a home cooked dinner for us and customised it as per our needs. The dinner & breakfast served was finger licking good. As we couldn't experience the elephant bathing at Pinnawala Elephant orphanage due to the high water levels in the river Roshan even helped us arrange the same at another place where we enjoyed the elephant ride, elephant feeding & bathing activities and also a tour to the spice garden. We definitely recommend this place.

The owner (the man) came up to my room a few minutes after I'd checked in and was very pushy in trying to get me to cancel my booking with the Elephant Freedom Project (that was already paid for) and go with a different company to see elephants. It made me very uncomfortable and I was on the verge of leaving and finding a different hotel. In the end I had to be quite blunt and ask him to leave me alone. Even then he seemed quite reluctant to leave MY room. Overall it was a nice place, but it was ruined by this rather strange situation.
