It was clean with aircondition, comfortable bed, big bathroom, balcony. The owners were incredible kind and each morning they prepared really huge and tasty breakfast.

We woke up quite early because of the curtains (not blackout) but that often seems to be the case here.

Highly recommendable accommodation in Mirissa! The room is very spacious and clean, and the location is great (walking distance to the beach and main road). The breakfast is one of the best we had in Sri Lanka! But the best part is the hosts! The guesthouse is run by a very lovely and hospitable couple, they really are the sweetest. We could do a late checkout and go to the beach for a couple of hours, and we could even take a shower to freshen up before the road. Thank you for taking such great care of us!!

This was my favourite homestay in Sri Lanka - the family is very welcoming and really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The room is very clean and just as described - the breakfast is great, make sure to be hungry or save same for later :) I had a late flight and was able to leave my bags and shower much later than checkout. I really appreciated the kind gesture !

The location is great but the hosting family was the true champion. Even for the high srilankese standards they overachieved with friendliness and catering to our wishes. The breakfast was the best we‘ve had in Sri Lanka!

First and foremost the staff was the friendliest we found in Sri Lanka. They went out of their way to make sure we could do our whale tour and come back and take a shower after that even if it was after check out time. Since we didn't have their breakfast they insisted on giving us a discount and free water without our asking. The room was very nice with a mosquito net (first time in Sri Lanka).

Of the 11 places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this was our favourite. The room is very comfortable and has everything you need. We slept very well as the location is quiet although still close to the beach and the town on the other side. The owners are lovely genuine people and were very helpful. Breakfast was tasty, varied and SO big it was verging on silly.

Amazing place with absolutely lovely hosts. The breakfast was big and delicious. The room and bathroom were clean. The AC and wi-fi worked well. There was a fridge in room so you could chill your drinks. The location is perfect, close to every place you want to go. Highly recommended if you in Mirissa.

Everything was perfect

The room was super clean, there was an aircon, hair dryer, a big fridge, a cattle and mosquito net. The host and all the other people were incredibly nice, breakfast was delicious and different every day. The house is 5min from the beach and 5min from different restaurants, bars and cafe. We had a great time there and would definitely stay there again when in Mirissa.

Our stay in Era Holiday House was fantastic. The room was clean, light and big. It has refrigerator and coffee/tea maker. The location is great, in quiet area of the city but on walking distance (5-10mins) from the beach and restaurants; a bus station is also near. The hosts are very kind and helpful, they offered us cold towels and water when we arrived. Breakfast was exceptional, so much different local tasty food! We would highly recommend this stay to everyone.

I travel full-time and have visited or lived in over 60 countries. This guesthouse was simple, but one of the best I have experienced.

Era holiday was fabulous! I wrote a timely review, but it got erased. Hopefully I remember everything to repeat it. First of all the room was large, full of natural light and had a balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was nice. The showerhead was good and there was hot water. There was a full-sized refrigerator for cold drinks, fruit, cheese, yogurt or other perishable snacks. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning and wifi were excellent. I especially liked the setting. It was between the main road (restaurants, stores, buses...) and the beach. Being between those two noisy places-- it was quiet and peaceful. It was nice to get a glimpse of the community from my balcony, watching the fishermen repair their nets and neighbors passing by. There were also monkeys, butterflies, birds, geckos, lizards and even a peacock-- a real jungle setting with so many flowers, trees and tropical plants. There were only three rooms on the second floor for guests and I really never saw them except once on the terrace at breakfast. The hosts were a very sweet, friendly couple who worked as a team and made the stay very comfortable. They were very helpful with information. And the breakfast which was included was crazy good and so generous it was enough for a second meal plus snacks! The variety was full of local specialties with spicy sauces: hoppers, coconut roti, samosas, string hoppers and more. Always a dish with fish or shrimp. Don't worry, there was yogurt, juice, tea, coffee and different breads if you are less adventurous. And the fruit!!! Everyday there were several options: passion fruit, soursop, rambutan, papaya, pineapple, mangos, tiny bananas and MORE! Some were organic from their (or their family's) own trees. But really, the best for me were the generous hosts! Never intrusive, but always available if I needed them. I extended my stay once, but then sadly, I had to say goodbye.

Wonderful homestay in Mirissa. My favorite homestay in Sri Lanka by far! The couple running the guesthouse is so nice and welcoming. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom. The bed is comfortable. AC and wifi work perfectly well. There is also a fridge in the room. The breakfasts are HUGE. So much that I asked them to bring me about half of what they normally serve. And even so, it was enough food that I never had to have lunch during my stay. Less than a 5-minute walk to the beach. In about the same time you'll reach the main road with its shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Definitely the place to stay for anyone considering going to Mirissa.

There’s a water pump which supplies high pressure hot showers. It is a little noisy but worth it for the quality of water flow.

The couple who run this place strike a perfect balance between homestay and hotel. Warm, friendly, helpful but totally unobtrusive. The rooms are immaculate and its location offers peace away from the crowds. I booked for two nights and stayed five!

The best homestay you can find in Mirissa. It is located in a quiet area but still close to the beach and all restaurants. We also had the best Sri Lankan breakfast of our trip here! You can enjoy it on a balcony. The couple is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean.

The place was amazing, clean, comfortable and nice garden. The people who are working there, they are the nicest people ever. They always made sure we have everything and we are okay. The breakfast was soooo delicious! I felt like I was at home there :)
