No disappointments at this location. Only lower outside temperature would be nice, so we could have enjoyed balcony and garden even more.

We most liked that the owner is so passionate about his resort. He loved to show us around in his beautifull garden and everything in the resort is thought of and well functioning. The sister of the owner is an excellent cook and she makes a great Sri Lankan breakfast. Each day a bit different but always delicious and plentifull. Same holds for the optional dinner. Owner also has good deals and friendly and knowledgeable friends for excursions to the temples and Sigiriya and safari. We left to see other places but actually we didn't want to leave this little paradise.

Beautiful, clean, spacious room. There are two very nice new buildings with two units each. The garden is lovely and we sat on the balcony and watched the birds. Breakfast was exceptional and plentiful & dinner was the best that we had in Sri Lanka, everything was fresh and flavorful. Kithmi is away from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend Kithmi Resort, it is a true gem.

The wonderful Hemantha and his sweet sister were truly exceptional hosts. This area was the most authentic area we visited in Sri Lanka. We saw elephants strolling down the road, monkeys everywhere and the Buddhist temples were beautiful. We also had the kindest hosts here who made our stay exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic and we felt like family. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced kinder people than those in Sri Lanka. Hemantha went above and beyond and was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The level of service was just wonderful and I’m so glad we visited! Would totally come back!

The owner is very kind and ready to help us feel comfortable. The place is very peaceful but not too far from the ruins. The room is very clean and has a big balcony. The wifi worked great. When we told the owner we had to leave very early at 6.30 am., he packed a simple breakfast for us. Very good value

For my job I visit many hotels, but this place, really, it is an absolutely gem! Amazing vibes! The room is huge, the bed as well, bathroom everything is spacious and large AND comfortabel! Best shower, nice balcony, beautiful garden! The owner is very friendly. Breakfast was huge and delicious! The pictures don't do justice to the place! Stay there and you will feel in heaven!

The room is very nice, but simple. No restaurants close by, but accessible by tuktuk.

Very new, clean and simple room with a AC and hot water. Super friendly host, who helped us organising drivers, tuktuk etc. He even prepared dinner for us when we arrived late. The hotel has a nice quite garden. 5-10 Min ride by tuktuk to ruins of Polonaruwa. No restaurant included, but meals can be arranged and prepared by the family of the owner.

Fantastic room - it's absolutely massive. The bed is very comfortable and the shower room is large with great water pressure. There is not much to do or places to eat locally, so we are thankful that they cooked us two excellent meals on the premises for a very reasonable price.

We loved our stay here in this beautiful setting. They organised a great driver to collect us from the airport and despite arriving late they had the most delicious Sri lankan meal ready for us when we arrived. What a wonderful welcome to Sri Lanka!

Good place to stay as home in a calm surrounding and also close to the key attractions in the area. Suitable for people who would like to relax without much disturbances from others who staying at the place. Seems like the owner is highly concerned about the privacy and comfort of the guests. He's a friendly and reliable person too as per my experience staying there. Rooms including the bathroom was really clean and tidy which is highly appreciated.

The host it was not clear with us, we asked to him if it would be possibile to have breakfast to take away early in the morning, but he didn't say anything clearly so we understood it wasn't possibile so we suggest to have dinner included instead of breakfast and he said dinner was offered by him. At the end we discovered NO breakfast at all and he charged to us also the dinner asking for more money. At that point we did not have more cash so I explained to him that it was not clear with us and we discovered the day after that he asked money also to our driver that's insane.. At the end we paid everything with a small discount but be careful and ask all the prices before every proposal he does to you!

The room was nice and clean with AC and simple bathroom.
