They mixed up my booking, I booked 3 nights but could stay only 2. I was taken to their other hotel for the last night which was nicer but far away from everything, however, the nice young couple who were the hosts made up for that.

Very friendly staff, they really want you to enjoy your stay and provide plenty of assistance. Nice cool garden.

The property is cozy, comfortable and pretty neatly maintained. But above all is the kind and extremely helpful staff. The current manager, Hirain, is perhaps, one of the best hosts we’ve come across ever… He’s polite, friendly and never shies away from walking that extra mile to make your stay worthwhile. The owner, himself and his family, are very welcoming too and they all made our Anuradhapura trip quite worthwhile. Would definitely go back and stay at this property if we’re going back to the city.

We stayed three nights at Liyana Resort in March 2024. We had booked the luxury suite. The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden with a lounge and restaurant as well as an architect-designed two-storey house with a panoramic view of the garden. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with everything we needed. Both the staff, the manager and his wife were genuinely helpful in making us comfortable. They informed us about a forest safari in Wilpattu National Park. They also helped us book the safari and arrange transportation to the park which was 40 km away. When we checked out to continue to Jaffna we had booked one more night until we got back to Anuradhapura but in a cheaper room. The manager's wife had then arranged for us to keep the more expensive room at no extra cost. When we left for Jaffna the manager drove us to the train station and carried our bags to the waiting hall. At the same time, we were probably pretty good guests, we stayed there for four nights in the most expensive room and took all our meals at the hotel and booked our excursions through the hotel.

Simple basic room, but perfect for one night. Airco made huge noice

Lovely garden, the rooms are very basic but clean. The location is great, super close to the small restaurants and bars on the water and easy to get a tuktuk to the old town. Good for a night. Very friendly staff and laundry service.

The staff were lovely, and very obliging. It was in a quiet location but close enough for restaurants and the lake. Easy to get to ancient city via tuk tuk. It was basic but good value for the price.

The staff at the hotel was very nice, especially the manager Agith was very friendly and helpful. He arranged a city tour with a local guide in a tuk-tuk. The morning we were leaving he also arranged transfer to our next destination. The breakfast was good and generally it was a pleasant experience😊

WiFi was patchy. Aircon loud. At times felt pressured by staff, disappointed them when we had made alternative plans re transport and activities.

Mosquitos and they charged extra for AC. While booking in Agoda, it was not evident that AC charges are extra. It was quite unusual because you assume that AC rooms provide AC. Don't know whether it's Agoda problem or hotel problem. Finally, it's a problem for us !! There was no hot water either.

The room was not clean, the shower in the bathroom is in the middle of the bathroom, so everything is wet after showering.

We were just passing through Anuradhapura to get to Jaffna and I wouldn‘t recommend to stay more than 1 night. Good stay for 1 night.
