Nice location adjoining to the main road and close proximity to all important locations. The staff was cordial and helpful. The meals provided were reasonable and valued for money.

Swimming pool needs some maintenance, the yellow part can be removed, nothing dramatic but it takes some action to do it, also to preserve it!

Extremely kind and polite staff, made our stay very pleasant. The restaurant has an excellent kitchen and our room at the top floor was very comfortable with a nice view on both sides of the property.

Swimming pool is great, monkey's show on the roof early morning - unforgettable). Monkeys walk around the pool, amazing feeling). Staff in restaurant is very helpful. Receptionist helped to rent the bysicle. Location is also great.

Need additional power outs atlease beside the beds since only one power out I could find in the entire room to power up all the electrical items. Regular power cuts happned but it seems generator not in operative. please fix it and that would be an added advantage...

As a 3 star rating hotel hotel mahanuge is doing great. Staff behaviour - From the biggining of the check - in it self we have noticed that the staff were very friendly and well trained to deliver maximum service for their customers. starting from Reception, restaurent staff, cleaning staff and even the manager of the hotel were very friendly. Welcome drink provided at the time of check-in. Location - Hotel mahanuga is very attractive place and can be recommended as a location suitable even for the photo shoots. garden and swimming pool well maintatined. Restaurent also maintaind very well. You will have good parking area if you drive your own vehicle. Garden area is wide range and fully covered with trees and it is a mind relaxig calm area. Foods - Unfortunately there were no buffet available due to lesser volume of guest count. However starting from the lunch I enjoyed every meal they provided and I have no complain of food taste. We had traditional Sri lankan Lunch with delicious combination of foods exclusively for areas like polonnaruwa. That was a superb food experience I had as a Sri Lankan in Sri Lankan Style. Dinner and breakfast also really good. For dinner we had western style grilled chicken course and few other side dishes. For the breakfast we had a Sri Lankan breakfast. The hotel is having A la carte menu as pay as you go. Rooms and Bathrooms - Exceptionally clean rooms and bath rooms are well maintained up to the standard. All the facilities including Fan, Air conditioning, Electric kettle, Tea and coffee, television water bottles etc provided and bathrooms are also facilitated with all the required amenities such hotwater, extra towels, toilet papers, shower gel, shampoo even tooth brushes and tooth paste. Overall Picture- The experience what you get from the hotel is unbeatable with the market price. And I throughly recommended this hotel for any traveller who is visiting polonnaruwa for purpose of leisure.

Shower door wouldn't open due to the toilet. We had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower. Some rust to fittings in the bathroom. Shower head was loose which affected flow of water. No shampoo/conditioner/shower gel

It was close to town and key sights. Bed was comfy. Was nice to have the choice at breakfast of continental or sri lankan. Staff were friendly. Good value for money.

The room was full of different kinds of insects (especially the bathroom). We also found some kind of small animal poo in our bed and in the bathroom. The WI-FI didn't work so well and overall, this hotel is overpriced.

The outside garden and pool were a great. It had clean towels, shampoo, soap, and other gadgets.

Shower was Brocken at room 101. And the breakfast could have some variations. TV just have few local channels which wasn't clear.

Very convenient place very close to Ancient kingdom. Rooms were OK. And food was tasty. Surrounding area is nice and clean.
