Not really a negative, but It was a little off the beaten track so bring food and anything else you need, or have your own transport to go out. +++That being said, the owner kindly shared us macaroni cheese without us asking (very kind… and delicious)

Very cold in night time as it is in the mountain village but they help me with 3 blankets. Too much files come to bathroom when it comes to night.

Lovely family they take care of me like the member of family, help me collect the clothes when it is raining, call me for safety concern when it is dark, prepare breakfast for me when owner not too busy.

The room is part of a really beautiful area/home of the host. The room is like a Tiny house is het garden. The host is a super friendly woman who also makes breakfast if you ask.

Bathroom had a little strong smell of sewage. Location is a little out of town, but easy with a tuktuk or scooter. The bed has a dent in it, so you do roll towards the middle.

Nice room with a tiny kitchen. The host was very kind and prepared breakfast for us. There where blankets in the bed, as it does get chilly in the evening.

Had a great time at Moon Plain Inn. The owner was super friendly and really helpful. Loved the tasty and affordable breakfasts and dinners she prepared. The one-bedroom house was basic but totally functional. Plus, the hot water and Wi-Fi worked like a charm, which was awesome.

Interior walls slightly grubby, ok -as everything else was spotless.

A heartwarming family run little place. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating to your queries or concerns. Room had fresh white sheets and bathroom ceramics were spotless. You can see the owner runs the place with care and pride. Fresh water tank for you to refill your water bottle. It was very calm and quiet place to rest well, with surrounding garden outside with many plants and a little running river alongside property. 25min walk to Moon Plains or take a nice stroll through tea plantations. A further 15min walk to peaceful Gregory Park

Everything was super cool. the host was very friendly and kind. and she served a breakfast for just 500LKR for both of us. And that meal was really good. And that portion is enough for both of us. and i should talk about the location. It is 2km away from the city center but that place is a calm place and full of natural views. Also the room was beyond my exceptional. I can give a 10/10 rating for that room. The bed is very comfortable and warm. At last if you are a couple and looking for a good clean calm place this is the place you should stay.

The only drawback of this place was the location being a bit far from any food places, and it wasn't really easy for us to cook at the accommodation (although we did make a soup one night in the family's kitchen). If you have a scooter it would be more convenient, but there is also a local bus that passes every hour or so making it possible to get to the town or Gregory Lake area cheaply.

Moon Plain Inn was a lovely place to stay with tranquil surroundings and beautiful flowers all around the property. The cottage is quaint with a huge bed and private bathroom, as well as basic kitchenette (only sink and kettle - no fridge or stove for cooking). Nice and private, great wifi, water dispenser and walking distance from a calm lake with local fisherman. The sound of the stream outside is really calming - a cosy retreat that is enjoyable even in colder weather. Responsive hosts that give you your space and privacy.

Great place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. Not too far from the town. Takes only few minutes to get to moon plains and Gregory Park. Room was nice and clean and we had given enough blankets so that we didn't suffer from cold at night. Had tea/coffee making facilities with a mini kitchen area inside. Also Good Wi-Fi Connection within the facility. Owner was very kind and hospitable. Recommend for anyone.

We had a really nice stay at the Moon Plain Inn. Suren recomended us really nice spots and organized a scooter for rent. the bungalows are really nice and even have a little kitchen. suren and his mum are really nice and friendly hosts helping you with everything you need! we hope to be back some time!

It does get very cold at night so make sure you have lots of layers, jumpers and fluffy socks but there are plenty of warm blankets to keep you cosy at night. The cherry on the cake for the property would be a wood burning stove, it would give it the ultimate cosy feel! Also make sure you are stocked up on water and food before you arrive as it is a long walk to any nearby shops.

Cosy, welcoming, homely, peaceful and the hosts are wonderful and kind. They welcomed us with some of the best hospitality we have experienced in Sri Lanka and we were taken care of every step of the way! The sound of the stream throughout the day and night makes Moonplain the ultimate retreat and perfect for practicing some of your Yoga and Meditation on the decking at the front of the property in Mooplains Forest Log. Not a bad word to say about it.

Great experience! Very loving family. The plave was very clean. The host made us feel instantly welcome and she even dried our clothes after they were soaked from a rainy hike! Her son showed us a local tea factory, lover's leap and a great restaurant that serves Tamil food. It is called Ambaal's. Overall superb stay, we were sad we couldn't stay longer!

Stay away from this place if you don't want to waste your time and nerve cells! When I traveled all the way to the place, it was really hard to find it in the darkness as there were no signs, no lights, nothing! Once I finally found the place, they informed me that no room available , even though I booked it via booking.com and it WAS available!
