Originally our place was supposed to have an outdoor tub, but that wasn't working. They've since taken it off their site so that new renters won't be expecting it.

This property was really wonderful. It's funky in a good way with a beautiful pool, places to relax, and delicious food. The location was really great as well as we were in the middle of the jungle listening to the birds all and feeling the peace of nature.

    Nothing- our stay was great!

Hotel was clean and had a lovely pool area! The staff were exceptionally helpful and couldn’t do enough. They picked us up from the train station and made sure dinner was ready for when we arrived. They also helped sort excursions for us to nearby attractions. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Bathroom is outside if you don’t like bugs. Might also find bugs in room but mosquito net provided.

Incredible jungle property. The staff organised a massage and safari, both which we highly recommend, making it really easy for us. Prices of safari were lower than other areas of Sri Lanka. Food was a set menu but was excellent for all meals.

    nothing

Such a fun, quirky and original place! Sameer the manager was superb and fixed up tours and taxis without hassle so it really added value to our trip. The breakfast and dinner really exceeded expectations - both plentiful and delicious and so nice to be able to have authentic Sri Lankan food. The pool is large and the setting really special. The rooms and 'outdoor' bathrooms are great and being up in the trees was very special.

    A tranquil escape

We had dinner the first night, and unfortunately found it bland and not very tasty. The staff seemed quite keen to let us know they had made it "not-spicy" without checking our preferences first, which was a shame for us as we love spicy food and wanted to enjoy local cuisine, but understand they are likely trying to cater to Western tourists. A shame though as the food, with or without spice, was not very tasty and as a result we chose not to eat there again and tried out some of the local restaurants which we enjoyed. There seems to be an expectation from hotel staff that you will eat at the hotel for all meals as they were frequently texting us to check in to see if we were eating there or not - so it may be worth letting them know what you plan to do in advance if you wish to explore other places. We love to try it all so would rarely eat at the same place regardless.

The rooms are lovely - a true escape and like sleeping in the jungle! It was tranquil and serene, and other than the animals at night (to be expected!) the area was so quiet and relaxing. The pool offered a great opportunity to cool off from the hot day, and the local town is only an 8 minute walk away or a short tuk tuk ride. A great base for exploring and close to Sigirya / national parks. We enjoyed a massage locally which at $35+ per head was quite pricey for Sri Lanka we enjoyed the experience and would recommend. A good breakfast is available too.

Lovely stay, but rooms with lots of big spiders and roaches

For those of us that are afraid of all kinds of little critters, this place is nerve wrecking. 🤭 I didn't really think it through on beforehand, but when we entered the room, it became clear: little bugs everywhere. A couple of big cockroaches and biggg spiders on the ceiling where the most disturbing to me. Luckily there are mosquito nets provided, so sleeping felt safe! The room didn't look too clean, but the staff cleaned it right away after we asked for it and gave us a big spray can of Raid to eliminate the cockroaches. Very happy with how they solved it, just decided that these kinds of stays are not the most suitable for me! For the more adventurous: please go, you won't regret it!

The tree houses are hopelessly romantic, super cozy and very photogenic. We loved the pool, our 4yo daughter played in it for hours, very clean and beautiful surrounding. The tree houses have enough privacy and are situated in a beautiful tropical garden. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, just as dinner!

Can't tel as the experience was all good!

A beautiful, intimate, quiet and green place where you ll find your true "jungle vibe", very good quality food (breakfast yummi! and as we love quite spicy they even got our dinner "spiced up" on request) and very helpful and friendly personel. The little attentions with great impact: a welcome tea with delicious ginger cookies at the pool! We enjoyed our family tree house for the five of us very much.

A beautiful, peaceful place to stay - sleeping in a tree house was magical. Sameera was so helpful in arranging tours for me, and the driver Gamini was very good and safe. My favourite thing about my stay was the food - dinner in particular is excellent!

There was some maintenance going on around the pool while we were there, but I guess it needs to be done from time to time.

We were made to feel welcome on arrival. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a little open to the elements and the shower might not be to everyone's taste as it had the potential for creepy crawlies but we didn't see any other than a very small lizard.

We absolutely loved staying here. Sami & his team are so friendly & helpful. We took the 1/2 board option, food was authentic and very tasty they also catered for my gluten free diet. We appreciated the natural surroundings and the pool for a nice cool swim after a busy day exploring the surrounding areas. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

The place is quite dark and damp which is great to provide a break from the hot sun, not quite as appealing if it’s raining.

Fun location with wooden huts / ‘tree houses’ in the forest. The pool is beautiful and the food is delicious and varied. Super helpful manager and staff. Great location for visiting the cultural triangle - and they can arrange transport to all the sites. We loved it.
