We lived in a "family suit" room. There are some notes on the number. In fact, there are two rooms, one of which is more suitable for children. Due to circumstances, there were three of us adults and one of us had to stay in the nursery (up the stairs to the 2nd floor - a converted attic space). If it is fundamental for you to have two separate rooms, find a way to contact the hotel owner and discuss this point. In the main room the air conditioner was stationary and worked perfectly. There is a mobile air conditioner on the 2nd floor; it can get hot during the day.

I'm sure this is one of the best hotels in Unawatuna. Service at the highest level. The staff is very friendly and truly customer oriented. At the reception we were greeted with refreshing cocktails. We checked into the room ahead of time, not at 14.00, but at 11.00. Since this is our first time in this country, we turned to the staff for help in various situations and with quite specific requests. I can say with confidence that the staff in the complex will make the best impression on you - with their attitude, tact, attention to guests, the cleanliness of the hotel in general and the room in particular, and the cleaning of the area. Linen was changed every two days, and we regularly refused to do cleaning. We booked for two weeks and initially did not plan to rent a scooter or car. We traveled by tuk-tuk. Once you get used to the prices, local trips average less than $8 per day. Supermarkets and local food are within walking distance. The main tourist area is about 7 minutes on foot. The pool is excellent, the water is wonderful, no chemicals, it is cleaned regularly. We swam periodically in the morning or late in the evening. There are no mosquitoes at all. Several times we saw a couple of peacocks, a monitor lizard, a bunch of chipmunks, a couple of species of monkeys, flying foxes and strange birds on the territory. At the time of our stay, most of the rooms were empty, so we had full harmony, silence and comfort. In the room: tea station, towels, shower set, water, hairdryer, safe - everything is there. Wifi is excellent, it didn’t let me down. There is a restaurant on the 1st floor, the food is quick and tasty, they always adjust the spiciness of the dishes. I liked the hotel very much, I recommend it.

Nothing to complain about at all. Anyone who does, has stayed at a similarly named place or perhaps has unreasonable expectations.

People The owner Lee & all of the staff (Pushpika & Sludara) made us feel so welcome and did everything to make Sue our stay was comfortable. Location Although a little away from the beach, this was an advantage. Quiet, with a beautiful view of the jungle. We saw a mongoose, palm squirrels, langar monkeys, a peacock and many other special birds. The way that the place is set back from the road and the construction meant it was very peaceful. Room A really lovely, well appointed room with fridge, aircon, safe, comfortable beds, wi-fi, lots of power points, clean and modern bathroom. Looking out onto the lovely pool and jungle. Pool Well maintained. A good size and we were always able to get a sun lounge. Lovely temperature and cleaned regularly. Restaurant Although we only had breakfast here during our stay, we coincidentally had a lunch here during a recent tour. Both were excellent. Well cooked, good serving sizes and lovely tasting.

I had the luxury of enjoying authentic Sri Lankan breakfast which was just amazing. For lunch I tried their ‘Lobster Thermidor & Steamed Crab, they were just mouth watering. I was also fortunate to enjoy delicious ‘Fish & Chips’. Fish was so fresh! I was amazed by the PURE COTTON, 400 thread count Bed Linen, Bathroom towels which were 750 GSM. Organic Latex mattress was extra comfortable. Spacious room with wide balcony, overlooking the beautiful swimming pool & a beautiful mountain, made me feel like, I was at More than a 5 Star Hotel! I am so grateful to Nature trails team for all the Covid 19 safety steps they took to protect all guests including me, their delicious food & all the comforts of more than a 5 Star Hotel. I am so excited and happy to recommend Nature Trails to all friends & travelers.

The first room had a wet bathroom floor and air on that didn’t work. They swapped rooms and the second had a tired interior. Bathroom door didn’t shut and the sheets and/or pillow smelled very strongly of perfume. The place needs a revamp.
