Our stay at Keshiya Holiday Home was truly exceptional, leaving lasting impressions for both us and our children. Gentle, our host, exuded warmth and hospitality from the moment we arrived, making us feel immediately at ease. The house was impeccably clean, offering stunning views that invited leisurely strolls. The homemade food was a delightful highlight, leaving us yearning for more with its delicious spread. The spacious two-bedroom apartment was tastefully furnished with all the necessary amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen. Located just minutes from downtown yet nestled on a peaceful narrow road, it offered the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Breakfast in the open-air area, overlooking verdant fields and not far from the tea plantations, was a magical start to each day of our stay. In summary, Keshiya Holiday Home provides a serene retreat with exceptional hospitality and breathtaking surroundings. It was undeniably our top pick for our Sri Lanka trip, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience.

We had a two bedroom apartment, filling furnished. Very well kept and the facilities were very good. Good shower, warm water. The beds were good. We had a kitchen, with the opportunity to make food or tea/coffee. It’s front and back garden were beautiful. We could have breakfast in the back garden and the views were fantastic.

The apartment is spacious with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, private toilet, dining area and living area. The host asked to pick us up 5 min away from the apartment. I guess all guests should do the same as the road to the apartment is very narrow. Location is wonderful, 5 min from downtown where all restaurants and shops are available. The host and his wife prepared excellent breakfast in the open-air area with a fantastic view of the green fields and tea plantation.

The owner is very friendly. We could choose between western breakfast or Sri Lankan breakfast, we choose the Sri lankan breakfast and it was very good. He also made some fresh strawberry drinks made from his home grown strawberrys. When we made a trip to Hortons plains and left at 5 am he made a tasty breakfast to take away. The location is amazing!

We had an excellent stay, the apartment is spacious and comfortable, in a very quiet location, with a nice view. Breakfast was great with a cocktail of homemade strawberries. The owner also arranged transport for us to Horton Plains at a very reasonable price. The house is about 15 minutes drive from Nuwara Eliya, near Pedro Tea Factory which is definitely worth a visit. You can also make a nice trip to Lovers Leap waterfall from here. We had a very pleasant and friendly contact with the owner. Definitely one of the best accommodations we have experienced in Sri Lanka.

Mr Jayantha is probably the nicest host I have ever come across. He went out of his way at every step to ensure that we had a very memorable stay. The dinner was fantastic and incredible value, the breakfast was excellent, he dropped us off into town in his scooter in the rain, made sandwiches for us at 4am to take to Hortons Plain National Park, arranged an excellent driver at a very reasonable rate to drive our car to Hortons Plain and back as the road is steep and narrow, gave us a kerosene heater to warm up when we came back drenched and cold from our hike at Hortons Plain. The apartment itself is great for a family and has spectacular views from the backyard.

Just the low pression of the water in the shower is a little bit annoying for long hair washing... But it is so nice to have hot shower while the weather is quite chilly...

The kindness of our hosts, always paying attention to us, our confort, giving us tips to explore the surrounding, arranging everything we could need (scooter, food, whatever...) The place is located in a very quiet area, which very nice to have a relax time. It is close to town by scooter, by tuktuk and also by bus. Perfect location to start hikes to Pedro' tea factory, and also to love's leap waterfalls.. The house is very confortable, and it was very nice to be able to cook in the kitchen. There was even a hair dryer that was so nice while it was cold weather... I definitely recommend this place.

    Everything is great.

This was the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. After living in one room, we really appreciated the extra space of a whole house (as did our children!). The hosts were so lovely, making some food for us after an early train from Ella meant that we arrived early and hungry. The breakfasts were great with delicious strawberry juice and jam (homegrown strawberries) and dinner is not to be missed. It was incredible and the best rice and curry we've had in Sri Lanka. The out of town location provides peace, wonderful views and access to some enjoyable walks (to Lover's Leap waterfall and the nearby reservoir). It's also an easy tuk tuk ride into town.

Everything!!!! Very welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make your stay even more enjoyable. Unique Sri Lankan experience. Wonderful breakfast and dinner experience, the couple cooked the most amazing food, so delicious and authentic. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a birthday cake, what a wonderful touch. And since my husband loves to cook he was given all the info about the different ingredients and recipes. Also our driver needed some assistance with the car and they went above and beyond to help him. And the couple’s daughter and our girl played together, so wonderful to see. We were shown and able to taste different Sri Lankan fruit that grow in the couple’s garden, so nice.

the most amazing hosts Jayantha and Dill. best food. this place is super cheap and very quiet. there is 100% no better feeling than staying and being so welcomed in a place like this and then knowing the money you give them is helping them so much. the food is so good it’s not worth going out for food anywhere else. it’s way too cheap and better than any restaurant. the kindest and nicest people.

We had a lovely stay at Keshiya holiday home. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the cooking class where they teached us cooking Sri Lankan rice and curry. It was definitely one of the best rice and curry we had during our 4 week trip. We very much enjoyed our conversations and our kids played with their 9 year old daughter. The house itself is really big and clean, overlooking the fields from the kitchen. Breakfast is delicious and they made fresh tomato jam which is so delicious! They even gave us a jar to bring home. So lovely and nice, we definitely recommend staying here.

Awesome stay very close to Pedro tea estate. Beautiful view of the strawberry fields. The homemade strawberry smoothies and jam were delicious! The home was spotless clean as well. We couldn’t believe how nice the host was. We came by own tuktuk and our window broke. He went and bought the glass AND repaired it all by himself!
