The noise from a wedding party the night of arrival. Laundry charges were very high so chose an outside laundry facility.

The river view was great. Our room had a balcony. Beds were comfortable. Easy access to hire a tuk tuk. Driver accommodation was available.

Rooftop pool was too deep (5ft) for me. Also no baby pool or shallow end.

The only drawback of the hotel was the distance from the city centre, which made it inconvenient to access some attractions and shops. However, this also meant that the hotel was away from the hustle and noise of the city centre, which was good for relaxation and peace.

I stayed at Oak Ray Regency hotel for three nights and I was very impressed by the quality of service and facilities. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, with nice interior decor and amenities. The hotel had ample carpark space and a good restaurant that served excellent buffet breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. Overall, I would recommend Oak Ray Regency hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and affordable stay in Kandy.

The bed was too old, we woke up with back pain in the morning, the sheets and towels were too old and not clean that you cannot use them

Customer service was very poor, the management is not at all concerned with the upkeep or the service attitude. Met only 2 /3 staff who were genuinely courteous out of a lot who lacked basic training and the attitude required for this business. The room had a million issues, tried to get a different room but they were not interested to solve the problem or change the room. They also served outdated soft drinks and had to ask for the money back. The Pool was unfiltered and really dirty (did not get in), the shower cubicle leaked and the commode area was flooded. Breakfast was a horrible mash-up of strig hoppers, milk rice, and some Western items which were badly done and overall food quality other than the Milk rice was poor, no professional touch was obvious.

i have checked in at 7pm and it was a night stay for me and my partner. then around 7.45 i called the receptionist and asked for the dinner menu and they transferred the call to the kitchen and they said they will close at 8pm and they have only fried rice. so i have ordered it and asked for a chicken soup as well. it wasn’t value for the money that i have paid. i will upload it too. and same time they said they have closed the bar at 8pm same day. room was clean but hot-water kettle hasn’t cleaned for months. hot-water shower also had some issues as well!
