My friend and I are really grateful to have met this lovely family and to have stayed in their beautiful home! If it was possible, we would rate this homestay 1000/10. The rooms are clean and offer a stunning view. Further all the facilities are super good & the owner even organised a scooter for us. However, nothing tops the generous breakfast! We also highly recommend to eat dinner at this homestay, it has been the best we‘ve eaten so far in Sri Lanka. We will definitely remember this special place!!

On the bill they put (a huge) service charge without knowledge. They deserve it, but I think it is strange for a hotel to do that.

The owners are very friendly and the wife makes a terrific good dinner. Just a short walk away from the tea fields.

Very nice family host who provided amazing service. Beautiful and very clean room, great view on morning sunrise from pation. The owner prepared for us delicions breakfast and dinner, definitely the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Also the owner picked us up on railway station for free and arranged for us a driver for a day trip. Highly recommend this place!!

We made a good choice here. The owners were so helpful and welcoming. The room was perfectly adequate and the big bed comfortable. Samila's cooking was better than anything we had in Sri Lanka, don't bother going out for dinner! I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Worse showering, very low water pressure through the flow heater. Small electrical boiler for heating water would be better.

The breakfasts were the best we had during our month long stay in Sri Lanka, varied, fresh and plenty of everything. Pleasant hosts, we felt very comfortable.

Place was gorgeous , saman and his wife treated us like their own family , everything we asked was granted and we'll beyond our expectation , food was outstanding , breakfast was brilliant , saman also helped us with making itenary and route to.visit places to around hatton , one of the best place we stayed in srilanka so far and ohh hatton and surrounding area ...breathtaking ...thank you saman and family , you made our stay memorable

Not completely soundproof, but it was alright. The shower is in the middle of the bathroom.

A beautiful place with an amazing terrace. The dinner experience was so romantic and the kind staff arranged everything beautifully. They also gave us so much travel advice. The food was exceptional. The room was clean and comfy. From the terrace you can watch so many cute squirrels. Definitely recommend!!! :-) we loved our stay.

This was a truly special stay. It felt like being welcomed into a warm family for a night where the host Saman and Semilla catered to our every need and made us feel so welcome. They helped us kindly through a bit of drama (our youngest cut his leg at Aberdeen Waterfalls and needed stitches in hospital). The food at dinner was amazing with different types of kottu and loads of sides. We talked into the night with the hosts, sharing life stories. The room was cool, bed comfortable, shower hot and views amazing. Breakfast was a feast and we waved goodbye hoping to return one day.

The shower was a bit strangely located (at the entrance to the bathroom, followed by the toilet and the sink)

Saman and Semila were great hosts! The location is very convenient- you could walk to the tea plantations within minutes and Saman arranged a TukTuk for us to do part of the Pekoe trail. We got tea and cookies when we arrived and the breakfast (with a beautiful view and sunrise from the terrace) and dinner were just amazing!

The location was gorgeous. The views from the balcony were amazing. It’s suitable for families, couples or friends. The hosts were extremely helpful and very friendly, they arranged transport for us and their house is right beside a tea plantation. The room was comfortable and clean. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The bed sheets had some big stains, other than that it was very very clean. Service charge was added not only for food but also for accomodation.

Very friendly hosts, amazing breakfast with lots of diversity and very tasty dinner also. In general very good value for money especially food wise. They also gave us great recommendations for sights, train tickets etc. The location is amazing as the stay is just at the foot of a tea plantation which is very nice to go for a walk to for sunrise/sunset. We really enjoyed our time with you, thank you! 🙏🏼

Saman and his family were just amazing. The whole place is incredibly clean, the rooms are very comfortable and photos can not do the views from the balcony justice. You are completely welcomed in to their home, and are greeted with the most incredible smell of home made cooking. The hosts can not do enough for you and helped in organising a tour and even train tickets for us. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone, and you must stop here on your way to Ella!

Very friendly extended family running the place. We are travelling with an almost 2 year old, and they really looked to help make things as smooth as possible. The food is probably the best of any we have had so far in Sri Lanka, I liked the string hoppers with chicken curry. The owner, Saman, picked us up in his tuktuk from Hatton station, which around 10 minutes away. The location in Dickoya was good, easy to walk up the hill into the tea fields, and nice to walk down into town for a snack. Very easy to organise excursions at a reasonable price.

Our stay was absolutely amazing!! There are no other words for it. The pre arrival communication via booking was great, we had a very warm arrival with some delicious tea. The room was super clean and spacious with a nice view from the balcony. But let me tell you about the food!! Insane. We had the best dinner do far while here in sri lanka. The lady is cooking like a godess. I told her i cant eat to spicy and she prepared it perfectly. The portions are huge and just make one happy! The breakfast viarity was perfect too!! There was no wish left open. The couple is welcoming and makes you feel like home. The hotel has a perfect distance from Hatton and Gatmore for a nice tuktuk drive. We would come back!!!
