Very quiet and beautiful area with peacocks walking around, and lots of birds singing. Turtles on the road at night, and short walk to restaurants and lake. Tissa old buddhist temple is near also. The owner arranges as optimal safaris as possible and know the whole area well. So we were lucky to see leopard, elefant, boards, deers, crocodiles, many birds etc.😍

Room was fantastic.location are superb.place was very good for the all the people.WE BOOKED THE SAFARI WITH OWNER.HE HAS 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE FOR THE SAFARI .he has hilux jeep for the safari.its brand new jeep.i highly recommend booked the safari with owner.cheap price and he doing 12 hours safari.we saw the leopards.only us that time.he was crossed the road in front of our jeep.you don't booked other safari please. We get the dinner night.it was delicious.we ate rice and curry.everybody can try here rice and curry.

Really clean, comfortable rooms for low price. Lovely and very accommodating host family, we had great conversations with the host. We did an afternoon safari with the host and it was incredible - he has 25+ years experience and it shows during the safari, he worked really hard to find us animals and we saw leopards when no other jeeps saw any in the park the day we went! He gave great advice regarding the safari and I would recommend you do a safari with him and take his recommendations. His safari is also very competitively priced. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby, and those within walking distance are very expensive. I highly recommend you ask the host for dinner, their meals are delicious home-cooked meals for an affordable price.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Wonderful family. The place is situated in a very quiet place, you can really relax there and enjoy the silence and the sounds of the bush surroundung it.

Beautiful bedroom with ac. Washroom was very clean. I was able to book a safari at Yala through the owner who has his own jeep. He really worked hard to find us a leopard. And we saw a leopard! The family that owns the place is very kind and helpful, going out of their way to help me with anything like finding dinner or booking a taxi.

We spent 2 nights here, it is so quite. After a trip in Negombo/Kandy/Ella we were so eager to have some peace and this accomodation was perfect to fulfill this desire of ours. Room and bathroom was clean, ac/airblade worked properly, plug in opportunities on both sides of the bed ( big plus ).

We stayed at Shine Park for 1 night prior to an early morning Yala safari. The chalet was enormous! The facilities were new, modern and clean. It had a ceiling fan, air conditioning, fresh bed linen and towels. Friendly and kind owners who made us feel welcome. Our departure was at 04.30am, and they kindly packed a breakfast for us. From here, it took us around 40 minutes to drive to Yala National Park. Incredible value for money. Special thanks to Vinuka.

Our 2-night stay at Shine Park was lovely. The spacious, quiet room and the warm, accommodating family made it a great experience. We booked the safari based on the reviews and, even though we didn't have the father as our guide, his son made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel and their safari for a memorable stay. Best wishes to their son in his future endeavors.

The owner called twice as soon as we booked which we later found out was to ask us about booking a tour with him. We told him we already paid for a tour and the problem didn't arise again which was great. The door to the bathroom was made out of a really weird material and a little warped which made it incredibly loud to close. It's also quite far outside of the cities and the restaurants nearby were either closed or really expensive. So if you're budget travelling be prepared to eat from food stands where food can be good or not so much.

The room and the bathroom were really spacious which we really enjoyed. There was a fan and an ac. The whole property was also quite pretty with a big lawn in front and the owner and his family were nice too.

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast to go was given to us for our safari and was plentiful and good. The host was our safari guide/driver. He was wonderful!! You could tell he wanted the best possible experience for us. We saw two leopards; one we watched for 30 minutes as it was resting right in the road. His wife had dinner for us that night (small charge) and breakfast the next morning. Entire host family was wonderful!!!

I am not sure if they will allow you to stay there if you book a safari with another company or driver. We loved our safari experience with them though!

We stayed two nights and went on a full day safari with the host Janaka. Our room was comfortable and it was so convenient to do the safari with them! The family was really friendly and we enjoyed the meals we ate there.

We had a fantastic stay at Shine Park. I could not recommend it highly enough. Located in a quiet back street with restaurants and stores a stone's throw away. The room was clean and tidy, with AC, a fan and a comfy bed. The hosts were incredible, with coffee and tea on arrival, and they even shuttled us to the bus stop at the end of our stay. The highlight, though, was the full-day safari offered by the hosts, which was very affordable. It included national park entry, breakfast, lunch and drinks. We saw a vast array of wildlife, including various birds, buffalo, deer, monkeys, elephants, and, to top it all off, a leopard. I can't stress enough how much effort and passion our hosts put into the safari. I highly recommend it.

Incredibly spacious and clean accommodation. Very comfortable bed. The kind, unprompted set up of an extra bed in the room for our son. Lovely and friendly hosts welcoming you with a nice pot of tea and serving a copious breakfast. But, the cherry on the cake was definitely the Safari that the host offers. Reasonably priced, fantastically organised with a delicious lunch and, most of all, with an eager attitude to find and introduce us to the incredible wildlife and sceneries Yala has to offer. We had a fantastic time, saw so much and learnt plenty! We were recommended by other travellers this spot and we are more than happy to spread the word and recommend it ourselves!

The owners were incredibly nice! We already booked our safari tour through get your guide unfortunately and it was so much more expensive than what the owners here offer! They also provided water/lunchboxes for there safari tours and was nice enough to make us one even though we were on a different tour! Exceptional stay for the price
