We felt very lucky to be staying in such an idyllic place: the best view, incredibly delicious food and lovely ladies looking after us. We loved waking up at sunrise and going for walks along the beach and having many heavenly swims in the sea.

Our room was a bit tiny for two people and no space for a minium of storage.

Amazing location (i think the best on Talalla beach), hosts are amazing and breakfast is very good. We highly recommend this accomodation and if one day we are back to Talalla, we will be there again.

Not a minus, it’s „just“ a homestay though. We had some moskito problems in addition.

It was a special and beautiful place. Nilmini and her crew are amazing people. The food was delicious. Actually I thought it's more like a German-called Ferienhaus. But it isn't. But for me it doesn't matter. I ve really enjoyed it there. Talalla and the beach house is a peacefully and quite place.

Nothing. Airco could be nice but then again the house would loose some of its old seaside charm.

Such a wonderful place, at the seaside, cozy rooms with fan, different nice seating places for reading a book. The beach is great to have a morning walk and a swim later. Not crowded, mix tourists and locals, fishing boats… we extended our stay with 2 days. And then we have Milnini and her staff, what a lady and excellent cook, and taking care of everything you need.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property but a suggested improvement would be providing a kettle and mugs in the room, and maybe a small bar fridge. The staff were able to provide hot water when we asked which was welcomed. We were a little underwhelmed in the breakfast on our first day as it was just fruit and toast, but subsequent days also had an added local Sri Lankan dish which was appreciated by everyone so we certainly recommend that.

The property is in a stunning location with beautiful views across Talalla Bay, particularly from the upper room we were in. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, the welcome drink was much appreciated and the evening curry we opted for was nice and tasty. The room also had filtered water provided which was great and very environmentally friendly gesture. All in all, an excellent choice and we would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful location right by the sea. Nilmini, Francis and Manuel were amazing, so helpful and friendly and Nilmini is an amazing cook! Try her mango and aubergine curries.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Talalla Bay Beach House that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation. From the moment we arrived, we're impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place, as well as the attentive and friendly hosts. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the gorgeous beach, which was just steps away from the guest house. The sand was soft and clean, and the water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming. Whether we wanted to simply relax on the beach with a good book or take a refreshing swim, we always felt comfortable and at ease in this beautiful setting. The guest house also had excellent food that surpassed our expectations. Every meal was delicious and prepared with care, featuring a variety of fresh and local ingredients. Whether we were in the mood for seafood, vegetables, or something sweet, our hosts Nilmini and Manel always delivered an amazing culinary experience. Finally, we cannot say enough about the helpful and friendly hosts who made our stay so memorable. Thank you Nilmini, Manel, Francis, Vimale and Emma! We can't wait to visit you again!

the only down thing I’d say is the water for the shower is cold ( didn’t matter too much as it was very hot!) they do provide fans but even two weren’t enough during the night.

beautiful rooms steps away from the beach. absolutely amazing staff. Nilmini was the sweetest lady ever. also the best cook in Sri Lanka. the food is delicious so make sure you have dinner here when you stay. especially the mango curry!!
