At check-in, we encountered an embarrassment. We had booked a "Superior Double Room," which, according to the description, included a balcony. My wife was anticipating a balcony, but to our disappointment, there wasn't one, which affected her experience throughout our stay. We raised this issue during check-in and also mentioned it during check-out, kindly requesting them to remove this misleading information from the Booking.com advertisement. However, as of now, I don't see any changes made. This misinformation could potentially mislead others. If the hotel management happens to read this, please address it promptly. Although the booking stated "Free Toiletries," we were not provided with toothpaste when we requested it. At night, we were informed that the storeroom was closed and were promised an update in the morning. However, in the morning, we were informed that they were out of stock. This felt unprofessional, as we suspect they were aware of the toothpaste shortage but waited until morning to inform us. We suggested that they update this information on Booking.com so that guests can be prepared for such situations. We truly appreciated the care with which our dinner was delivered to our room, along with complimentary items. The staff member who brought it to our room was very pleasant, and the food itself was delicious. Unfortunately, they forgot to remove the dishes until we checked out. My wife and I would love to visit again, but we kindly ask that the hotel management address the issues mentioned above.

The environment and vibe were superb. We would rate it 10 out of 10. It truly feels like we were in another country, or as if England would be like this. Each building boasts unique architecture, which is not inherent to Sri Lanka. Birds sang here and there, and colorful flowers decorated the landscape. It was a very calm and quiet environment (except for the loud music playing in the bar, but it didn't bother us). The gatekeepers were helpful, and there is ample parking space available. The hospitality and welcome were excellent. We were offered juice and cookies while waiting to check in. The servants and hotel staff were really nice and made a concerted effort to serve us well. We appreciate their dedication. The complimentary breakfast offered a few options: English Breakfast, Milk Rice, or Pol Roti. We selected Milk Rice, and it was very tasty. One major plus point we noticed is that their food is consistently delicious. We should thank the chef, even though we didn't see him. They have a large, brand new gym facility available for free. The view from the gym is fascinating, allowing us to enjoy it while exercising. They also offer a paid sauna for steam baths and a jacuzzi.

I had an exceptional stay at hotel. The food was outstanding, with a la carte menu for dinner prepared by a skilled chef. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying. The breakfast offered an impressive array of options, showcasing a variety of delicious choices. The location of the hotel is superb, and the staff members were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The rooms were cozy, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere throughout my stay.

Bathroom commode wobbly, the washroom floods every time we flush it. Used body lotion with lotion all over the lid. No room heater, being the coldest city in Sri Lanka. There was an uncleaned Jacuzzi, not sure if it was out of use. The most disappointing thing is they charged USD 20 for an extra bed for a 5 year old. All though the reservation was only USD 47 for the entire room including breakfast. The foldable bed was literally unusable as it kept falling apart all the time and the staff came to help. I may have misplaced the Apple Watch charger, although I called in twice to check they promised to call me back but never received a call yet.

Beautiful environment around 5km from the city centre. Friendly staff. The receptionist Satheesh was super friendly and always eager to help. Top man. Good WiFi. Scenic view. Lovely architecture in the surrounding.

Very loud music until 11.30pm in the hall that could be heard from the room (2nd floor). Very disappointing.

A little bit out from town.

What a great setting high up amoung the tea plantations and gardens. This gated complex with its unusual architecture was truly like something out of a movie. Beautiful quiet place.

Rooms are surely not sound proofed. Can hear all the noises of the hotel corridor even at night .

Stayed for a night for 2 rooms, the water doesn’t work at all. It was cold for the entire duration of stay and Low pressure. Weather was cool and cold water is not a fun experience. They tried to fix but it’s always too late.

This is such a peaceful place, very homely and relaxing. Staff at Pedro Barn were lovely and very accommodating to our needs.

BLACK MOLD! On almost every wall in the room. Disgusting SMELL of mold, we had to sleep with opened windows. We came late so we didn’t want to leave, but it was very uncomfortable. This property has no air conditioning and they have a huge problem with humidity and mold. It was not nice to stay there We have chosen this property because they had sauna and steam room, but unfortunately it was not possible to use this amenities. They told me that they need 4 hours of preparation when I asked them I would like to use sauna.

Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable and staff was nice.
