There is only one lift for the guests which isn’t very practical considering the hotel size!

Staff were lovely and very helpful, particularly Ayesha who looked after us so well during our stay. She was a pleasure at breakfast and dinner each day. Hotel grounds are stunning particularly the gardens, rooftop bar and the pool. The setting of the hotel within the mountains is beautiful and the views can be enjoyed in the dining room and throughout the resort. We got treatments in the spa and would highly recommend. The therapist was great. Also thanks to Moses who looked after us at check-in. Room was spacious for 3 people.

Everything was perfect

Wow best value for money. We got a personal number of one of the employees and he answered all of our questions in a minute. The food court was unbelievable and rich, the stuff was amazing. There is an indoor swimming pool and a kids area - just perfect. We would love to recommend it to anyone.

Room - nothing special but there was a funny old smell that did not let me sleep in peace. There was no AC or fan in the room and ended up asking for a fan at 3am for air circulation. Staff in Sackvilla were very polite and nice but did not have much knowledge about the food they were serving.

Location is good. Property itself is brilliant. Loved the pool and the recreational building. Walking around in the property was quite pleasing. Breakfast was quite good too.

The buffet is over priced- go to the A La Carte Restaurant instead, it’s much cheaper.

Staff were fantastic on arrival and throughout. The hotel is spectacular. The swimming pool is on the top floor and looks out over the mountains. We also really liked the A La Carte restaurant, great value for money!

Dilakshan was amazing during our stay and so was Dhananjay. The hotel is beautiful, atop a hill and has the most splendid views and the restaurants are picturesque and with many options of f and b. Comes with our heartfelt recommendation! Thank u!

This property DOES NOT have aircon despite it being in my filters when hotel searching and in my booking.com room amenities. The temperature does drop in the evening (April), but aircon would be an improvement. The old part of the hotel is a stark different to the modern build, but we were satisfied with the room.

Brilliant selection of food that varied daily. The grounds are SENSATIONAL - my goodness they absolutely make the stay! Attentive staff. We often had the rooftop bar to ourselves all morning to be in the sun. The pool could be busy, but often we had it to ourselves. There’s plenty to do in town and the hotel provides complimentary driver’s accommodation too which is brilliant. Lovely little leaving treats too when we checked out which was a nice touch.

Sadly the sauna/steam facilities were out of use during our visit. One small suggestion - could you make an adult only time at the pool? Otherwise everything fantastic, would really recommend!

Amazing location and views. Rooms beautiful with fantastic gardens to walk around and pool to use. Very comfortable bedrooms with cosy fire and dressing gowns. Breakfast was fantastic, definitely go if you get the chance! Also had a lovely evening meal in the Sackville restaurant. All staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay special. They also organised Tuk Tuk and taxi to local train station at very reasonable price.

Beautiful heated pool with a stunning view. It got busy in the evening so we recommend going in the morning or afternoon. The breakfast and dinner buffet certainly had the most variety of all buffets we tried in Sri Lanka and they have a great view to go with it. Highly recommend the walk through the small village across the road from the hotel. The locals were friendly and gives you a better feel for how and where they live. Great hospitality at Golden Ridge as always in Sri Lanka.

The grounds, building and views are amazing! The indoor swimming pool was serene - perfect temperature and enjoyed stunning viewing outside. The staff are incredibly attentive and they made it extra special for my mum’s 60th birthday. They made a lovely birthday cake and surprised us at dinner which was special. The buffet was very good, lots of choice and quality of food was excellent! Would 100% recommend if you are stopping by Nuwara Eliya as it’s their perfect stop over hotel :)

Booking.com confirmation wrongly mentioned check-out anytime till 23:59 which led us to believe we could have a check out later than the typical practice of noon.

The quadruple room was just as shown in the picture. The extra large double bed and two single beds provided a very comfortable layout to sleep with children in one room. Beds were comfy, breakfast layout had a lot of variety and was delicious. The indoor heated pool is a good feature.

The staff were incredible, they looked after our every need. They were extra eyes on the children in the pool and played hide and seek with our toddler when we were waiting for our meal. Everything was great, they even had children’s plates and cutlery at breakfast. They gave us takeaway containers at breakfast to make sure we had lunch for the children. Beautiful location, tucked away in a pretty part of town but close enough to the city and Victoria gardens. We will definitely be coming again!!
