Everything was great! The breakfast was totally worth the money and the personnel was really friendly and helpful. We had a working AC and the pool was also nice. The views are amazing. We always took a Tuk Tuk to drive to the city centre. Highly recommend!

The courtyard is heavenly: soft grass, lots of flowers, bushes and trees, smelling wonderfully. The swimming pool is clean and is nicely placed at the end of the yard. The views are amazing, especially from the balcony. Although the hotel is situated a bit far from the centre, the surrounding is very pleasant and safe, and tuk-tuks are easy to find. The rooms are OK, comfortable. The breakfast is also nice: sometimes it was the open buffet and sometimes a simple omelette with pancakes. The staff are cool and relaxed.

During my stay I had called the reception a few times but no answer I understand there was a few staff and they have lots of things to do ☺️, a little far from the city if you have planned to book Uber or Tuk Tuk little hard go through most of them are refused

The location is a little far from the main city, but it gives the hotel much calm and peaceful environment. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and pool area was peaceful. The room was clean and quite spacious. Overall quite a good experience.

Perfect end to our stay in Sri Lanka. Modern, spacious and very clean rooms, super comfortable beds and excellent wi-fi. We could not have been made to feel more welcome! The staff were of great asistance during our stay including the provision of a special vegan breakfast. In addition they gave great recommendations of other local eating locations. Very clean pool, in a garden setting, great for a refreshing swim after a day exploring. The view from the room and associated balcony was spectacular. We really appreciated the chance to escape the hustle and bustle that is downtown Kandy. We would highly recommend the Kandyan Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing break in their Sri Lankan travels. For anyone disuaded by the location, don't let it put you off. Yes, it is up a steep hill, but tuk tuks are very economical in getting you up and down. The kind staff will also arrange a tuk tuk or car for you, if required. There is also a local bus, a very short walk from the accommodation, if you are more adventurous.

The remoteness of the property as it was a 10 minute tuktuk ride into town and very few drivers knew how to get there. A steady steep climb into the mountainside. No bar or restaurant to come back to after a busy day out and nothing local to use either.

The restaurant wasn't open, but given the small number of guests that's understandable.

Loved this hotel. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night and arrived quite late so didn't get to spend as much time there as we would have liked. The pool was set in beautiful garden and was exceptionally clean. The view from the room and balcony over the hills and valley was breathtaking, and you could hear the call to prayer in the early morning and evening. The staff were so helpful - even helped us order a meal delivery using an app on their phone and assisted with payment. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful with very comfortable beds.

The climb to get there on foot is a bit brutal if you are unfit like me but a novice hiker or have a vehicle you will have no trouble

The roads leading to the villa are not in good condition and you have to drive very steep roads. Because of the rain, our minivan driver had hard time driving there. I don't really understand why there are window rails from the toilet to the corridor. Those in the corridor can hear every sound from the toilets. Otherwise soundproofing is good. They don't have dinner restaurant but they can order you pizza.

The location is wonderful when it comes to the views and serenity. Big contrast to what it would be like staying in the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast. The kids really liked the playground We didn't have time to swim but the pool looked well-maintained.

Lovely staff, very friendly and always willing to help . Its very peaceful, and the breakfast was lovely, especially the coconut pancakes! Great way to try some tradtional sri lankan food. The location is in the hills so it's not possible to walk to kandy but it's easy to use tuk tuks and it's worth it for the views and the peacefulness. Thank you!

The location is not ideal. Very hard to find on the maps and only option to go to the city if the staff orders you tuk tuk. Although it was always arrange very swiftly. The worst thing is that the taxi driver ordered by the hotel put us on the wrong bus. Instead of going to Galle we ended up in Matara. And that's after checking 10x with bus and taxi driver.

Was good value for money. Helpful staff. Hotel is a bit outdated so doesn't really look the same as the pictures but that didn't really bother us. The view is really nice, overlooking the city. Was pretty clean as well. Overall would recommend if you don't mind using tuk tuk every time you need to go to the city.

Bit tricky to get to, up steep twisting roads but staff quickly answered the phone and helped with directions.

Beautiful place - cool spacious room with balcony looking out over a spectacular view and surrounded by a lovely garden with pool and kids play area. Perfect for keeping my little one happy. Lovely breakfast and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Overall a peaceful haven a bit apart from the bustle of Kandy.

Nothing really but it is a bit far out of town which we didn't mind because it was nice to be away from the tiring hustle and bustle of Kandy. You can get a bus into town for just 30lkr, just walk down the road a bit and you will find a bus stop.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. We felt very well looked after throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, the views were beautiful and the pool was really clean. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are travelling with children.

The staff was very kind to my elderly grandma and very accommodating of her needs. Unfortunately, there is no lift in the hotel, and she finds it hard to go up and down the floors but the staff was kind enough to bring the food up to my grandma's room and help her up and down when needed.She really felt special! So I am thankful to the staff.
