Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainIf you want to go to sleep early, like 8-9pm, you can't because of the noise from outside, but I think when visiting Maroco you cannot go to sleep early anywhere, because this is there lifestyle.
The hotel is right at the main square. They dance, have music until 10-11pm, you can see it all from the window (our room had the market view, I don't know on the other side how it is). The stuff was very helpful, he arranged for us a grand taxi that we took together with another tourist from the hotel and we went to visit the Atlas movie studios, the oasis and the village Aït Benhaddou. We all payed for the car 600dh (aprox 60 euro) & a little tip (you dived it to all the persons in the car). If you go there you must visit these places. The breakfast was really good (with tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, butter, jam, honey...).

United KingdomThe description of available facilities on booking.com is far from reality: no trace of private kitchen, at least a small fridge should be really helpful in the room. The rooms are provided of working AC and TV set (only RT and TNT in English, all other channels in Arabic). The Internet connection is really a big headache, we bought a local SIM from Orange. The furniture is really old, including only the minimum survival kit. The beds are not really comfortable, hard mattress, synthetic pillows. The same story in the private bathroom: synthetic towels, one paper roll, two mini hard old style soaps for one week, never replaced or renewed. Shower on the wall splashing water everywhere and very slow drain. The water is hot but you might need to wait some minutes with the tap opened. No card payment, always tricky to pay the right amount between various currency conversions. Try to come with Euro cash and maybe you will pay the right amount as from booking.com. Alternatively, exchange your cash currency in MAD to the nearest exchange office (5 min away). Whatever you do you might still loose some money.
Excellent location in the heart of the old city, 30 min walking distance from the airport, friendly and helpful staff. All services just minutes from the location: exchange offices, old market, Carrefour supermarket, banks, restaurants, Orange mobile office, CTM bus transfers. Excellent view of the central square and direct contact with the local amazing festivities each evening. Excellent stay for a reasonable budget. With all the technical headaches described in the cons section, we really enjoyed our stay to Bab Sahara. Thank you to all the staff!

GermanyWhile the linens were clean, I'm not sure the blankets had been washed, as they were a bit dusty.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price for what it is. Nice breakfast in the morning included in my 300Dh expense. I was there on a Sunday night and indeed, there were festivities in the square right outside my window. However, they died down after 2130 and by 2215 it was perfectly quiet. The building also has rooms along the back which you may be able to get if you ask. Honestly I just enjoyed hanging around the square soaking in the music and dancing.

New ZealandThe address ,location was not clear to find.
The hotel is overlooking on the big square where every evening are local groups playing music. It’s a great experience to see and hear. The room was simple but clean and shower. We could park our safe in the garage. The front desk people were friendly and very helpful.. Nice breakfast. It’s great to experience the life in the town. Restaurant on the square.

GermanyThe room was not as beautiful as on the pictures and the hotel floors looked more like an old european school or military base. We drove back from Mhamid to Marrakech and just needed a place to stay for the night, so for that it was more than ok, but for that price I had definitely better hotels in Morocco.
The receptionist was very friendly and helped us with finding the place to park the car. One of the beds sounded as if it would collapse any time but luckily it did not :) The location of the hotel is good, right at the center with restaurants very close and the breakfast was good as well.

United KingdomBathroom' needs improvement eg shower and door needed maintenance. TV : why is it at ceiling height? Maybe they're used to this in public areas, but in private rooms at hotels it should be at eye level. But this is a fairly minor point as TV is not an essential in a basic hotel room (and i only used news as background noise)
Staff very helpful Room clean (albeit basic / dated) Good breakfast (coffee / juice / baguette) Location is excellent : on main square Ouzaratte is a lovely place. Relaxing place to stay before a flight after travelling in busier places TIP: Some reviews said Googlemaps wasn't so accurate. But i found that it was accurate in most cases in morocca (including with hiking trails and finding hotels in medina's). But you should always take the directions from the hotel's website, as they will have set the co-ordinates. if you just Google for the hotel name or address then it may not be as accurate depending on how it's been tagged on a map (i made that mistake when first arriving in a few cities).
