Dar 91 is an outstanding property! Paolo and Jeremy were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay magical. Paolo's WhatsApp a week or so before was so informative and helpful. The house is stunning, full of lovely touches and fantastic pieces of art. Everything we needed to cook was available. The neighbourhood is lovely. It's vibrant and felt safe. It's close to everything but just enough away to be quiet. The bread oven a few doors away was one of our favourite places to go every day, pretty much always open and so friendly - the best bread for 1 MAD. We stayed in no 2. The bedroom was great, it has superb windows to keep it as quiet as possible. With the shutters closed, it's super dark. I slept so well and I'm not the best sleeper. The shower was perfect and the bed comfy too. We also loved the roof terrace and 360° views. We can't wait to come back! ❤️

Nothing, everything was excellent, just wish I had the opportunity to stay longer. Essouria is so lovely.

I was met at the property by Hakim, a member of the team, with the keys and he explained everything. Prior to this communication with Paolo had been excellent, his written guide which he e-mails you beforehand is really informative about all aspects of the stay. The property was just as described, I stayed in the studio and it is gorgeous. Paolo had made sure that there was water, bread, eggs and oranges available for me on arrival, which was so thoughtful. He also dropped by the following day and said hello as he was checking on work due to be done next door at a neighbour's house. I loved staying in this part of the medina, I got a real sense of what life is like there. The property is really well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and cooking equipment so I was able to cater for myself, great as I am here in Morocco for a month.

I would like to have my own house like this apartment. It's comfortable, cosy and beautiful. First few minutes we spent on "visiting" this apartment and looking at decoration - accually it's a kind of art not only place to stay. Arrangement of apartment is well-thought-out, there is big and comfortable mezzanine bed, sofa to chill, eating place, armchair, shelves for clothes and even small desk if somebody needs to work online. And still there is enough space to move comfortably. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking (there was also coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt for guests) in the bathroom is also everything what tourists need (even hair dryer). Meeting with the host - Paolo was super nice; what the interesting, inteligent and kind person, we feel lucky to meet him. Few days before our arrival we had contact with Paolo via WhatsApp with offer of help with taxi etc. When we arrived we found water, bread, olives, eggs, delicious biscuits and fruits for breakfast - nice surprise. The apartment is located in calm street in the medina.

Everything was hilarious. Location is perfect, just on the old city walls(Medina), 5 minutes walk to the beach. House is like an art museum, there is more than what you need. Everything was thought with all tiny details. House consist of 3.5 floors, living room and kitchen on the first floor, bedroom on second, a cool single room on the mezzanine and a terrace with a view to Ocean, wow ! Fireplace exposed a great atmosphere. Bed was very comfy with electricity blanket. We were taken care of very well, owner-Paolo was very informative and easy contactable. They welcomed us with some fruits, snacks, pasta, eggs, water which was very kind. Housekeeper-Hakim was super friendly. Price for such quality was very good. I would definitely come back and also recommend it to all my friends.

Great location, property was a studio apartment which was perfect for a couple or a solo traveller. Paolo was super helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Apartment was clean, had WiFi, cooking appliences, and any amenities you would need for a stay in Essaouira. Can’t recommend this place more.

Great location, good for exploring but also far enough on the outskirts of the old town to be quite quiet. The apartment is very beautifully designed, roof terrace offers amazing views, including the sea. Well equipped kitchen, great for longer stays. Many small additions to enhance the experience - snacks provided on arrival as well as comfortable local clothing for the windy evenings on the roof top. Host (Paolo) was helpful, easy to get in touch with and able to help with local knowledge. Staff (Hakim and Halima) were also very attentive and efficient. Highly recommended for an authentic stay in a beautiful city. Will hopefully be visiting again soon

This is an example of the high life. From the moment we landed, we were taken care of - our lovely hosts arranged a transfer, the lovely driver even walked us to the outside of the villa, where we were guided upstairs to our beautifully clean and well appointed accommodation. The table was full of fresh fruit, breads and snacks. Coffee and milk etc - everything you could think of for a comfortable stay and such a nice gesture to arrive to. The sheets are furniture all comfortable and clean and the location was nice and central whilst also being just 1 minute or so from the Main Street. We were lucky enough to have the roof top also which had views of the ocean crashing on the rocks. And we opted for the breakfast to be dropped outside our door each morning which was such a nice treat. I want to thank the hosts for having us and for going out of their way to make our stay so perfect. We will be back for sure.

Comfortable studio with all you need for few days In Essaouira, right on medina walls. Communication with the host was great, everything went smooth. The bed is big and comfortable, shower beautifully hot, cooking facilities great, internet fast. Great location too. Well recommended!

We did not miss anything at all during our stay.

Our stay at Dar91 was just great! Communication with Paolo in the days before our arrival was already really pleasant and easy. When we arrived at the Place, Hakim, the Housekeeper, was already waiting for us and gave us the tour of the House. We were greeted with fresh bread, olives, boiled eggs, cookies and a fruit basket set out on the kitchen table. What a nice surprise! Paolo and Jeremy did a fantastic job furnishing and decorating this comfortable, fun and eclectic place with lots of love and great attention to detail. We enjoyed relaxing on the two rooftop terraces and the living room in the evenings. We also did make use of the kitchen and found everything we needed to prepare proper warm meals for ourselves. Paolo we got to meet twice during our stay. A truly warm and wonderful person he is he made us feel absolutely at home. Thank you so much for this experience!!

All was great…if someone complains then maybe Essaouira is not the right place for them, or they have issues with steep stairs.. that’s about it

The attention to details in the apartment, you can tell Paolo has put an effort in designing this place and making it look really pretty at the same time comfortable. Not to forget that Paolo, Halima & Hakim have been great, super friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend this place plus it’s in the old city but not too deep and away from the more crowded places, it’s the perfect balance.

We've been to Essaouira many times and this is hands down the best apartment we ever stayed at here. We'll be coming here again for sure!

It was during the holiday so many kids were playing tamtam and screaming late evening in the neighborhood. Otherwise it was perfect.

The host Paolo is adorable and the appartement is beautifully decorated. Delicious snacks on the table at our arrival. Felt at home. ::) the appart we rented did not have a terrasse but if you can, choose the one with!
