Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe drain was a bit slow in one of the two rooms I stayed in. I let the staff, and they immediately addressed the issue. It's also a reminder to use water conservatively. The hot water and pressure was plentiful and strong.
The location is perfect - just on the side of the busy medina shopping and souks, but quickly accessible to a taxi for transportation to the Train or Airport. In spite of all the noise and traffic outside, the interior is quiet, calm, and instantly relaxing. The air is lightly perfumed with orange blossoms that immediately puts you in a state of calm, happiness, and luxury. The staff are friendly, professional, and ready to help. Breakfast is on the stunning rooftop, which gives beautiful views of the city - looking west (where sunset is amazing). Food is plentiful and well appointed with both western food and traditional breads, fruits, dates, cereals, and more. The pool is smaller than a full pool, up on the roof top, but still a nice place to dip your toes or jump in for a plunge on a hot day. SPECIAL THANKS - and recognition to Mr. Salah, who went above and beyond when I had a bad experience with a tour guide. I explained my concerns, and he went out of his way to make the problem right. It was beyond my expectations and this level of service and pride in the Riad & Spa Bahia --and Marrakech as a tourist destination was awesome. Mr. Wasin - was super talented in Arabic, English, German and French. We had fun converstations auf Deutch. - and Mr. Omar, who was always responsive and helpful at the front desk. All the staff get 5 stars for their professionalism, kindness and true concern for their guests' comfort and happiness.

United KingdomThe WiFi would sometimes cut out, so not ideal if working remote or needing to be online. The shower backed up a couple of times, but Reception sent someone to take a look immediately, and so we knew to lift the grate before showering so that it didn't back up again.
The staff were incredibly professional, yet friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were beautiful, exceptionally good value for money, and the location was ideal. The food was very good too, especially the Pastilla.

United StatesBe aware this is a multistory hotel so travel lite; no elevators. Slight case of food poisoning at the hotel restaurant.
Good location for visiting the main square and shopping souks.

United KingdomThere was nothing we disliked! We struggled to reset the PIN for the safe in the wardrobe in our first room, and the shower didn't drain in our second room, but each time, Reception sent someone immediately to assist and they resolved the issues straight away.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights both before and after a trip to the desert, and so stayed in 2 different rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful during both stays, assisting immediately with any queries/issues we had. The riad is stunning, with 2 gorgeous courtyards, and the rooms are all decorated with distinctive traditional styles. As I was travelling with a friend, we requested single beds, and this was provided both times. The beds are really comfy, the a/c very effective, and the showers wonderful. The roof-top pool and restaurant (with both indoor and outdoor dining) are a glorious little haven, away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The breakfast offerings are pretty varied based upon our experiences elsewhere, and the restaurant menu delicious - we particularly enjoyed the pastilla. The riad was a leisurely 20-30 min stroll from Jmaa el Fnaa up the cobbled street behind, passing a wide range of shops, restaurants, other riads and local stallholders, so it was ideally located. (Note: This walk could be done in ~10 min if running late for a scheduled meet at Café de France early in the morning!) It took around 15 minutes by taxi to/from the airport, which we pre-booked via booking.com for ~10GBP.

GermanyThe only negative thing is that it was quite hot in the hotel and the climate system in our room didn't help a lot.
Very nice hotel. The rooms have a traditional look, but are modern inside. In general the look of the hotel is beautiful and oriental. Overall breakfast was alright, but nothing special. The pool area is quite relaxing. We really liked the service of this riad. Especially Mouhsine helped us a lot and made our stay in this riad much better. He's a very kind and dedicated person in his job. With it's location near the Bahia palace and the souk Jemaa el-Fnaa, it's a top notch hotel for visiting the old town of Marrakesh.
