Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

The owners welcomed us on arrival with a hot home cooked meal and beer, shared with the both of them. They gave us a larger room free of charge because there was no one else in the apartments other than us. They advised us on where to go and what to see. The apartments have a lovely garden area and sharing facilities, they offered us their coffee to have on the morning which we used from the conservatory. The apartments were slightly far out from the old town (30-40 min walk) so we drove there for dinner (also can probably get taxis/bus but chose to drive), but overall the most amazing hosts and excellent value for money, would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bar. Thank you for an amazing stay 😁

AustraliaThere's nothing we would change about the whole experience. Great value for the cost, great facilities and outstanding hosts. I would love to have the opportunity to visit again.
We have been traveling for 6 months and these were by far the best hosts we have ever had (and we have had many good ones). From the railway station pickup to get to the property and warm welcome on arrival, to their generosity (even a meal on arrival!), easy access to kitchen facilities, areas to dine near the kitchen or on our private balcony, a laundry and information about where to find groceries and attractions in Bar. They went above and beyond our expectations: hospitality simply doesn't get any better. The apartment was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

United KingdomBrankica and Goran were absolutely fabulous hosts. I was picked up at the bus station and after my stay dropped off at the train station. They shared their time, their space, their cigarettes, their beer, their food with me. Even got a gift. They had the facilities for me to wash my clothes in a washing machine. The room was beautiful, new, very clean and all colour coordinated and had a fridge and a kettle. A lot of attention to details. I was extremely comfortable. I didn’t have a car but I walked up to the old town which is a 35 minute walk. Found out there is a bus that goes up and town to the old town from the main road. I wasn't interested to see the beach. Not far from the house you can find a small supermarket, chemist, a wonderful bread shop that serves coffee and many other shops. I loved being in quiet and tranquility. Unfortunately I arrived very low in energy and quite stressed out and wanted a place to rest and catch up with certain admin. The wifi didn’t work the first day in my room but it did for the other two days. I would like to thank them for their fantastic and warm hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
