Koko is an exceptional person who cares so much about making his guests happy. Everything is set up for your convenience, comfort and enjoyment. Lots of big common areas to chill out, exchange information and stories and feel at home away from home. The volunteers are always on hand to answer any questions and keep you entertained. There's lots of stuff to do with olive groves, the sandy beach in front of the town, smaller beaches and coves all along the coast, a beautiful old town, lots of cafes, pubs and bakeries all very close to the hostel. A bit further away, there's flamingos to see at the salt plains and lots of other nature to explore.

This hostel is mostly for the vibe and the socials. Lots of entertainment, drinking buddies, day trip, lawn turtles? Overall the hostel isn’t crazy clean but the good activities will make up for it

Lovely, lovely people. Really nice events - group dinner and a fire when I was there. Koko was great - really knowledgeable and gave loads of ideas of things to do in Ulcinj. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Friendly atmosphere, cleanliness and comfortable beds. Due to small number of guests I had a four bedded room to myself. Koko the manager has a fantastic memory for names. Reasonably close to the bus station.

Host Koko is a legend. Friendly and helpful volunteers. Nice location on a hill but 15 min walk to the old town. Activities such as a sunset trip were organised. We hired bikes to go to the salt lakes. Good social vibe overall and nice common areas. Clean facilities.

The only letdown for me was the bathrooms- there is only one bathroom on each floor, and no separate toilets

Koko is amazing! Super welcoming and makes you feel at home. We had a private room, which was very large and had bedside tables, a desk and mirror, and big wardrobes for all our stuff which was great as we stayed a few days. The balcony was also great but we didn’t really use it as it overlooks the communal area downstairs. And the room had air con which was a lifesaver with the hot weather! Also loved the boat tour and the sunset tour. A great way to meet people and good value!

Don’t go to the restaurants the volunteers recommend, they were pretty bad.

Loved the place. Great place to chill. Everyone is so friendly. So many activities and social events. Everyone goes to dinner and sunset together. Beautiful dog and cats to play around with.

The common spaces are amazing and the whole place has a real hostel vibe. Activities are organized every day, the sunset and the boat tour are a must. There are multiple bathrooms and everything is kept really clean. Koko is an amazing host and will make sure you are never bored. Coming back next year for sure!

Great social vibe. They have so many activities making it so easy to make friends. There is a great party atmosphere, you can get as involved as you’d like to be - you can definitely have a more chilled experience or go out to party. Koko is a great owner and manager, he is so passionate about this job and does everything he can to help you out. 100% recommend this hostel to solo travelers.

There are too many people for the few bathrooms at the hostel. It's also loud at night, so if you want to sleep early and do not want to party, I do not recommend you stay here.

The owner, Koko, is an absolutely amazing individual! He makes every person feel like a very special guest (and somehow remembers everyone's names)! He went out of his way to be kind, and somehow manages to always be available to help at all times. The hostel offers lots of really fun (and reasonably-priced) activities, including a boat trip and beach sunsets daily. It's a very social hostel and relatively small hostel, so it's easy to meet people, too.

There is only one bathroom per floor, which isn’t sufficient in high season. The hostel was very social, which was great at times! However, as a couple, we often struggled to find peace, quiet and relaxation. There is a ‘quiet rule’ after midnight but this isn’t respected, despite Koko and the volunteer’s best efforts. Our room had a balcony that faced the outdoor area where most people socialised. One night, one of us went to bed early and couldn’t get any rest, which as frustrating as we were planning to get up early. Our room’s door was right next to Reception, which meant that we were heard everyone arriving and receiving their orientation briefings. Added to this, our room was near the common room - it has a large speaker that plays psytrance throughout the day. It’s a vibe but perhaps not our vibe. One day, we borrowed bikes to see the flamingos. Unfortunately, the bikes aren’t well-maintained and we had to turn back halfway as one of the tyres was damaged. Koko did give us our money back but I’d recommend checking the bikes before setting off.

The hospitality was great - Koko, the owner, is a legend and goes out of his way to help everybody. There are some gorgeous cats and dogs, particularly the hostel mascot Mr. Johnny Barker! The hostel is very social and we met some great people during our time there. There are boat trips every day/ evening and most people get dinner together each evening. The volunteers make sure nobody gets left out. The location is out of the centre but, to be honest, this is a positive thing as the town can get very busy! It is near the police station so felt very safe. Beaches are walkable and there are local amenities nearby, including a market, ATM and local restaurant (Alfa). The hostel is distinctly Aussie. Everyone is super friendly, even when we watched the football and Toone, Hemp and Russo secured a decisive victory for the lionesses!

Koko is the best hostel owner I have ever met, it will make you feel like at home. He can help you with anything you need, organize boat tour and sunset tour. He slept many nights on the sofa just to make sure everyone had a bed to sleep in.

Really the only place to stay in Ulcinj! Perfect for solo travellers and groups, its super sociable without being overbearing. Every time I come here I end up extending.

The kitchen isn’t very big for the size of the hostel, but this wasn’t really a problem for us - we always managed to find space to cook.

GREAT VIBES! Such a fun place to spend a few nights. The owner Koko is a great guy and creates a cool atmosphere. The hostel organises some fun activities, which we definitely recommend doing! The volunteers are super helpful and Koko tells you lots about the different activities in Ulcinj.

Koko is the heart and soul of this place. Taking the time to know everyone who stays, he really makes you feel very well taken care of. I had a fab stay here as a solo traveller (despite being a little older than the other guests). The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was not luxury but mostly clean. I stayed in the private room and had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the front of the property. Also, nice that music and noise level is kept down after midnight.

Best hostel ever! Best hostel I resided in on my trip. Koko is such a fantastic guy, and the people had such great vibes. A big plus, the hostel also hosts sunset tours and boat trips plus a bike rental for an incredible value.

Lots of stairs so be prepared!! The volunteers there when I stayed were a bit cliquey and exclusive but that’s not within the control of the hostel really!!

Great hostel, koko organises everything chaotically but perfectly! I didn’t have to organise anything, highly recommend everything the hostel offers - especially the boat cruise!!! Air con in the rooms is a godsend and koko helps with everything he can including parking etc!
