Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe really didn’t dislike anything. The staff were getting ready to close for winter so the hotel was quiet and they were busy but it wasn’t an issue - they always found time to answer any questions. We had two tiny issues 1. The hot water boiler went off a few times and so the shower was cool. They were trying to fix it though and it’s hardly anyone’s fault, these things happen. 2. Our bed was a little squeaky - it’s a tiny thing but on hot nights it really can disturb your sleep!
The hotel is gorgeous and has the most wonderful view of Kotor Bay although it’s about 40-50 minute walk from Kotor and it’s old town but the walk way is well lit and has several good bars and restaurants along it. The room we had at the hotel was clean and included a little lounge area with great views and a good sized bedroom. Everything was styled perfectly. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they were always checking in and were so chatty! We are vegan and they went out of their way to ensure we had breakfast options and were catered for. The outside seating area for breakfast is a really pretty courtyard surrounded by flowers. The little dock where you can sunbathe is so peaceful and you can’t get bored of the view!

United KingdomHard to find anything really. Not much of a selection of soft drinks at the bar, that’s about it.
Beautiful location, beautiful building. Views out across the bay are stunning. Breakfast in the garden just lovely. Staff so welcoming and helpful, always on hand if you need anything. We took a couple of bikes and cycled into Kotor for a look around the old town and climbed up to the fortress. Spent the next day swimming off the jetty and relaxing on sun loungers. Plenty of good restaurants nearby for dinner. Perfect!

United StatesMentioned above, updated towels, ac units, large umbrellas on the palazzo off the sea.
The first evening we were met by the receptionist Veronica who was wonderfully pleasant, knowledgeable about the hotel amenities and staff, where to go, hiking along the low road toward Kotor and booked us a dinner reservation in no time at all. The breakfast was served by a hard working young man named Misha. Onto our room. We had booked a family suite (which was the only room available at the time of our booking) and we were extremely fortunate and glad that we did. Facing the sea on the second floor, we had plenty of room to manuever and lay out our things after our seven day hike in the mountains. The bath and main room were equipped with a hot kettle, refrigerator, fresh linens, (albeit the towels need to be updated, but still very useable and still very classy,) two small and efficent windows and a wonderful view of the sea. Yoga was offered two of the three days we were at the hotel but we used that only once. The teacher and location were very good. The Palazzo Radomiri founder unfortunately passed away and his spouse, daughter and her husband have taken over the hotel. The hotel maintains a mostly private pavilliuon beach (mostly private, as I noticed a young couple who came and went at will one day while we were on the pavillion, clearly knowing how to use the system.) They were not a hindrance nor did they take away any of the paying guests chairs. The water was clear and cool, the chairs and sunshades were slightly worn but very useable and nice. This is rated as a 4 star hotel and may be just a tad below a 4 star based on the wear as it will need some updating. The AC was not working properly and we had two nights that it would have been quite useful. All in all a delightful three nights and three days at the Palazzo Radomiri. What made this hotel special quite special is the staff, the quality of the restoration, and the location.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like!
Beautiful hotel. Great location, out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to walk or cycle to the old town along the coast. Lovely service, the team couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing views. We booked what I think was the smallest standard room (it was the last one available), and it exceeded our expectations, it was bigger and nicer than the pictures show.

Excellent vegan options available for lunch. The view from our room was beautiful with an added terrace. Anna the owner was very welcoming and helpful. United KingdomReally only a tiny thing but wasn't a huge fan of the yoga lesson style. Personally, not really a fan of Kundalini style and would prefer more of a flowing style - but it was still lovely to do yoga on the terrace.
We loved our stay here. The building is beautiful and everything is very relaxed and welcoming, including all the staff. The breakfast was very generous too, I loved the little fruit porridge pots particularly. The jetty is insanely pretty and there is a whole array of different seats, beanbags and loungers to choose from to relax in. Really special place. Thanks for having us!

GermanyNothing!!! Food and Drinks are well priced and delicious. Better then the neightboring restaurants. Location is just stunning.
It was absolutely beautiful and the location is just perfect. We found ourselves in a calm and breathtaking spot, where cruise ships passed, the sun sets behind the mountains and the food is super delicious. The lady of the house (owner) was soo nice and forthcoming, always keen on talking care of her guests. The personnel was polite and friendly. Thank you all for the exceptional stay.

IrelandEverything was fantastic, the only mildly annoying thing was when on the jetty and ordering drinks/food you had to go inside and find the waiter, maybe a call button of some kind on the jetty would be useful?
Stunning location with a lot of character, interiors were done to a high standard. I liked the Rituals products in the bathrooms, staff very nice and helpful. Clean. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Yoga, paddle boarding, etc. available which was nice. The jetty was a beautiful place to relax.

HungaryWe had an amazing, relaxing weekend here. A bit far from Kotor (hard to get a taxi from there), but this place is more peaceful and uniqe. The staff was really nice and helpful. Loved the beautiful scenery, the best around the Bay of Kotor. The yoga class in the morning was cool and refreshing. Zoran also took us to the airport with perfect timing. Can't wait to go back.

United StatesAir conditioning issues that forced us to change rooms, which the hotel was able to offer us after the first night. But even in the second room the air conditioning doesn't work well in the bedroom area. Also no air conditioning in the gym area which again they did tried to work around after I complained. The breakfast was very limited and only on the last day did I see items being served that were not offered to us. The young guys working the bar area were nice but their lack of English was a problem and often we had to track them down to get a drink. These all might be smaller issues if the room cost was lower.
The location is beautiful, making for great views and wonderful swimming. Swimming and lounging area was very comfortable. Much of the staff was very professional, pleasant and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated . Within walking distance to several restaurants. The place was quiet and close to Kotor. Sitting and watching the sunset was heavenly.

Netherlands* In our apartment the airconditioning wasn't working properly, so the temperature never got below 27'C which wasn't great. The management apologized, but it couldn't be fixed on short term. They put in a separate air purifier which isn't the same obviously. * The outside pool is a bit small and was not ideal to use because of young kid with large rubber boat and toys allowed into it. * Private pier was full one afternoon, so we just had chairs, no beds.
Very friendly staff, spacious rooms and bathroom, lovely bay view, good beds and pillows, great breakfast and food in general. Private pier with beds and parasols. Dobrota is a nice and relaxed place to be.

United KingdomWe have no complaints!
The hotel is located just outside of the hustle and bustle of the old town, but with enough restaurants nearby that you don’t feel off grid. The location is quiet and the hotel idyllic, perfect for couples. There is a swimming pool, but the sea was so calm and warm we didn’t use it.

United KingdomAs mentioned above some of the staff were friendly and some were not. There was some confusion when we arrived and they could not find our booking, they did apologize and we were given another room. They told us we could not pay by credit card, but then said we could later on. Our bathroom light was not working.
The room was lovely, a really comfortable bed. Great wifi, the breakfast was tasty (although they should mention there is a QR code with a menu, as we only found out towards the end of our stay) and the hotel building is really beautiful. Some of the staff were friendly. The deck area out the front is amazing. Location wise, if you do not have a car, it takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour to walk to Kotor, but Dobrota is nice and quiet.
