Breakfast that was included just included basic things like croissant, fruit, juice and tea/coffee. eggs or bagels had to be bought as an extra.

Poopy smell in the room on the first day. Breakfast was average; typical continental buffet, eggs were extra, and ridiculously expensive (7 euros for two eggs). Fortunately, they gave me gluten free bread, otherwise there was very little, other than fruit, that I could eat from the buffet.

Beautiful beach, though a bit of a walk from our room. Very nice pool, which was shared by only three rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice patio overlooking our pool.

They say breakfast is included in the Price. This is a complete Joke. When you say breakfast, you have to mean breakfast. The few items you get are tea cereal, coffee, one cake, some crosounts and another pastry, orange jiuce and water, some fruit, bread and a toaster. NO CHEESE, NO HAM, AS SOON AS YOU ENTER THEY GIVE YOU A MENU WITH PRICES, FOR ANYHING THAT YOU WANT, YOU HAVE TO PAY 7 EUROS FOR AN EGG, OMLETTE, HAM CHEESE ETC. We ended up paying an extra 50 euros a day to have a decent breakfast.

The enviroment of the Hotel is nice. It has aged a bit, but on the whole it was good. No bar on site, just a little shop to but a few essentias.

we were promised the unit we previously had stayed in. No apologies at all. Television was controlled by a dish and did not work well and when it did channels were limited. WiFi barely worked.

The villa lacked any comfortable lounging furniture and there were major water outages on two out of the three nights.

This is an excellent, relaxed setting in very well maintained grounds. The restaurant was excellent and the pool facilities were wonderful. The nearby beach and Orient Bay village was charming.

Couple of things. During our previous stays we used to go down to Coco Beach a lot. Now they have a $15/per person daily fee for just to get an umbrella and a lounge chair with a mattress. That is ridiculously expensive. We just ended up using the other areas of the beach, like KKO Beach, etc., where we got the same amenities, without the exorbitant fees. We used to love to eat at L'Astrolabe. This time we tried a couple of dinners, but the food was very disappointing.

We have been at Esmeralda a few times before. We love the place, the location is unbeatable, the lodging, organization, service are excellent. We love to have the pool right outside of the back porch. We'll be back again soon!

Restaurant unavailability. Slight small of sewage.

The check in was helpful and quick. The room was quiet, large, had a minikitchen, good bathroom, and daily maid service. Outside the room there was a small swimming pool with a private balcony for our room. The view from the room was of the pool and beautiful grounds. The beach was a short distance away and was wonderful. The only slight hitch is that their restaurant has a good reputation, but was not available because it was fully booked while we were visiting. However, many other excellent restaurants were within an 5 minute walk.

The room has nothing in it. One bed. One table with two chairs. There is no warmth to the room and it echos. If you moved a chair or opened a drawer, the sound was so irritating. The person in the room next us snored and it literally kept us awake. Also, the room keys were ridiculously large and heavy….. they were a pain to carry to the beach

Breakfast is supposedly served 7:30-10:30. We arrived at 09:45, given the tour, seated at a table and given the run through of breakfast. There weren’t any pain au chocolat left on the buffet, and only 3 pain au raisin (all mini size), so my partner asked if they could bring out more. The waitress said she’d check with the chef. We waited for half an hour until nearly closing with no information and no croissants. We then got told after complaining that they only put two loads of chocolate croissants out and that you need to arrive early to breakfast if you’d like them. This is despite us seeing multiple guests be told them can have a takeaway box to load up with croissants when they were leaving, so no wonder there weren’t any left! They do not cater for all guests as we weren’t the last ones to walk in. Overall, the inclusive breakfast was very limited and basic.

Bed was very comfy, reception staff lovely and they had presented a bottle of champagne very nicely which my sister had ordered.

Not much for kitchen utensils. Night clerk wasn't as helpful as daytime staff. If you need anything and she says it's not available, ask again during the day.

We were treated like special guests. The resort is pretty, secluded, quiet and safe. Daytime staff is very accommodating. The included breakfast was fine. We didn't feel the need to order anything extra.
