How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location - super close to the lake, a ten minute walk to the Old Town, and very quiet at night time. Comfort - the bed was amazing and the shower was great too. Host - Zoran was wonderful! Very kind and an excellent communicator. This was such a great little find, and I really enjoyed my stay.

No lake view (but it didn't matter much)
The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a huge and comfy bed, a modern bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen. Plus, there was a platter full of fruit waiting for us on the table, as well as some chocolates, tea and coffee. There were also local guide books and maps provided for use. Certainly more than we expected! The apartment is just a few steps away from the beautiful Ohrid lake. It is also worth mentioning that the owner is an extremely kind and cheerful person. Highly recommended!

Everything. Great location, Huge room, Bed was sooo comfy & the pillows were a dream. Consistent Hot water, Wifi worked and the hosts were so friendly & helped with all my annoying questions about the kitchen. Would happily stay here again.

This was probably the best we slept during our 2 week trip. The beds were so comfortable and Ohrid truly is the best place in Macedonia. It was so dreamy and I wish we could have stayed for longer. The hosts are amazing- I've stayed at so many places over the years, and these are the types of hosts you hope to stay with. They have answers to all of the questions, they are kind and patient and helpful and honest. We could not have asked for more.

I had an absolutely amazing time during my stay at Bogdanoski Studios & Guest Rooms! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the wonderful hosts, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The attention to detail and the overall atmosphere of the place were outstanding. It truly felt like a home away from home. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality provided by the hosts. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Whether it was their warm greetings, helpful recommendations for local attractions, or their willingness to accommodate any special requests, they made me feel like a valued guest throughout my entire visit. I can't express how much I enjoyed my time here, and I'm already looking forward to returning in the future. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay with incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts.Thank you once again to the hosts for making my stay so memorable!

The host was excellent. He provided maps and guides, a small smack upon arrival and the sweetest gift before we left. He arranged our taxi into Greece and was such a nice guy. Also, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Shower has great pressure and plenty of hot water. The rooms are in a gated house complex and feel safe. It's 50 meters to the water, some nice restaurants, and a small grocery, and a walk along the waterfront promenade to Old Town takes about 10mins, if you stop to watch the swans for a bit. Overall, great stay.

The host was amazing! Very accomodating of all of our needs. The location is perfect and has a nice view. We were given reserved parking on the street, which was very convenient and easily accessible. The room was spacious and very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Bogdanovski studios to anyone visiting beautiful Ohrid.

Nothing at all. I perhaps should have reserved a room above as they seem to have a balcony although I did have a table and chair outside my door facing the well cared for garden!
Very clean place with friendly family. Zoran is a great guy and extremely helpful. Room is comfortable and everything works great. I had the ground floor room.
