We spent there 7 days. Typically, we would have expected the linens to be refreshed every 3 to 4 days for optimal comfort and hygiene. However, the towels were replaced daily, which was a thoughtful gesture. Nothing else to dislike.

Perfect location, comfortable room! Plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. Tastefully prepared main meals, fresh vegetables and fruits. What stood out to me was the evident emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle through the food they served, avoiding a fried food. The restaurant service was very good with the entire staff making efforts to be kind and helpful. The towels were changed on a daily basis which I liked a lot. The bathroom was also regularly cleaned.

The room facilities are outdated and old. The bedding needs an update. Breakfast buffet was the same for the full 7 days we were there, changing this every day with different options would be better. Hairdryer didnt work.

Good location and access to the beach. The beach beds were discounted for hotel guests. The hotel is surrounded by trees and the area is well looked after. Free parking for hotel guests was included.

The biggest downside of the beach is that there are no showers 😕 Beach-goers need to take a shower despite the refreshing lake

The accessibility of the beach is the biggest asset of the hotel. In a matter of minutes the beach is at your disposal and you don't have to think of where to park your car or where to swim.

I have one complain though. At the reception desk, the receptionist took my ID card. After two nights I check out, go some 300 km to the border and I realize that during cheek out, my ID was not given back to me. I had to return to the hotel and this way spend half a day traveling worth less. I do not why they need ID/Passport original, why not copying it. 😖😖😖

The location of the hotel itself was quiet, but the rooms are relatively noisy. You can hear talking and coughing from the neighboring rooms, as well as on the balconies. The deep pile carpet in the room seems a bit unhygienic and the water from the shower does not completely run down the drain but over the bathroom floor.

Hotel is situated directly at the beach.The outdoor facilities were very well maintained. In general, cleanliness was taken care of, as far as the structural condition and the room equipment allowed. I had a room to the lakeside with a fantastic view. It was possible to eat on a terasse adjacent to the dining room. The food offer was quite clear, but I think this is appropriate in view of the relatively small number of guests at my time of travel.

Due to it being end of season, not all facilities were fully functional (e.g. beach bars etc.). Hotel is 7km from Ohrid town, so need a taxi to get there.

Good value for money for an end of summer sunny break. The lake is amazing! Conference facilities were good.

In summary (so you don’t have to read my waffling below), would I stay here again? Yes, clean and good value. Location - good. Buses don’t seem frequent and can be too crowded to get on. You will need a car or taxi to get into Ohrid City (or elsewhere). Location at the lake is excellent- lake front. It isn’t crowded, plenty of sun beds and fabulously clean water. Comfort - not bad. Beds ok. My partner didn’t find the pillows very comfortable though. Bit dated here and there and couple of holes in the sheets but ok. Clean. We had mountain view instead of lake view and there was a bit of noise from the road but not bad at all. Didn’t disturb our sleep. Air con is good and effective. Food - ok and plentiful Massive portions from a la carte menu. Vegetables that were boiled just lacked a bit of anything special - like flavour. But apart from that it was fine and very good value. Better value than the buffet but of course more choice at buffet if you want to try different things. Breakfast - buffet. Not huge selection but everything you needed. Staff - mixed Generally good and spoke some English. One very unhelpful man on reception that spoiled the perception of staff. He didn’t crack a smile and seemed to want everyone to leave him alone. My partner is Macedonian so conversed with him in Macedonian and he was very unhelpful with her as well - bordering on being rude. Facilities/Other - apart from a conference over one weekend, the hotel was very empty for August. Such a shame as it has such potential. Hotel is a bit tired and dated in places. Has a gym but some equipment wasn’t working but good enough. Use of pool next door at Bellevue was good, clean, nice pool and plenty of free sun beds.

The building requires better maintenance. The AC is definitely inadequate for the summer when the rooms accumulate heat. Lesser issues that actually make for the quaint qualities of former Yugoslav resorts include occasional broken door handles, numbers falling off the room doors, etc. I would not recommend it to the visitor privileging environmental comfort and price value over architectural character.

The hotel offers the qualities of former Yugoslav design that are both fascinating and in dire need of upkeep. The concrete building has strong architectural character that is rare to find among the numerous build-it yourself rooms-for rent. The location is great at the foot of the mountain with access to the lake, the resort is extremely quiet, the views are directly over the water.

Extra charge for normal cola or water for dinner. Food disappears in seconds and not refilled. Dinner wasnt really interesting. Room was really really dirty, especially the bathroom. Stains after wine on furniture. Not to mention its an old hotel with old furniture. Also wifi was horrible. For sure its not 4 star hotel, barely 3. For one- two nights its bearable just because of the beach and lake view.

I have paid fully via booking upfront, but at the check out I have been asked to pay again... It was intense as I spent 25min arguing and waiting for the receptionist to accept the fact that it was paid online upfront. At the end I needed to send receipt from my bank to prove it... Etc etc... Rooms are not sound proofed at all... you will hear everything at the corridor and rooms nearby etc... Also electricity was an issue for some period (thankfully not long) The bathroom has a strong odor from sewers... Further, tap water is not for the drink, but at the evening there is no alternative to buy or use mini bar because doesn't exist... Last but not least, staff is not being friendly in general, they simply don't care, and you can generally feel that along the way...
