How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Being on the water and in the heart of Skopje was amazing. Opening the windows and hearing the water at night was peaceful and calming.

Fluffier towels! Although rather thin quality they were very soft and replaced daily.
Food excellent-staff very friendly-in fact couldn’t do enough to help us!

Location is unbeatable! Accommodation is wonderful and so fun to stay on a “ship”! Amazing breakfast with so many delicious options to choose from. Employees are super helpful and kind. Close to the beautiful main square and all the wonderful sites in Skopje!

We had rooms on the lower deck and it got a little damp down there due to the placement on the river. I would prefer to have a room on the other side of the corridor facing the river and not the street.
This is a very special and unique hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good but they didn’t seem to replenish it, so if you got there later than everyone else, you were left with the leftovers. The hotel bar and restaurant were good. Perfect location!

Bedrooms are neat, but everything is there, but not too small. After all, it is a cabin on a galleon.
The location is superb surrounded by amazing modern mega sized romanesque architecture and vast sculptures of mainly macho men, lions, and horses. Easy to wander through the streets, all the sights are literally on the doorstep or off the gang plank.. Short walk from bus and train station. Lovely top deck restaurant and bar with cheerful and helpful people. Also there's a quiet sitting room if you want to relax and read.

There were flies but that was the whole river to be honest. Not just this property.

There was a smell in the room. It was not strong but probably comes from toilette. The air condition could have been better.
The location was perfect. The room was nice, bad was comfortable.

Air conditioning wasn't great, and the bar opposite was noisy on a Saturday night, but the location and staff really made up for it.
Staying on a boat is different! The staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast omelettes were good!

The room was clean in general, that's okay, but the staff should clean the rooms carefully since the hotel is in the river. There were some small dead insects on the hidden sides of the room.
The room and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was almost perfect. Staff were friendly.

Natural lightning is limited. Hard to stay longer inside. But the cafe in the upper desk fantastic tobspend longer times.
Very central. Easy to go around. Staff are perfect, kind, positive to cover any possible inguire raised . Rooms are like sahip camara, offering limited environment. We yere happy to stay there.

Staying at Hotel Sengallia was a absolute delight from start to finish, From the warm welcome at check-in by Rosetta despite the awkward hour arriving at 3:00am to the attentive assistance throughout being at breakfast, at restaurant and housekeeping , every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality and care. Each interaction with the staff felt like chatting with old friends. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city making it convenient for exploring all the nearby attractions. Without doubt this hotel was one of the best hotel experiences and i can't wait to experience it again in the future.
