Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MartiniqueI found it annoying that some electrical outlets didn't work. Maybe it was just me doing something wrong, but it was okay. My partner and I came up with a solution. There was also a power cut in the morning, but that didn't cause any problems😌.
I liked the location, the services and the bed !!! The bed was so comfortable I need the same mattress

CanadaA lot of steps to go from seaside to the pool or front desk, couldn’t get the tub to work (shower was fine), room seemed a little outdated (furniture and fixtures)
Sea side patio, outdoor pool, ocean side bar, beach was small but pleasant, not a busy season, close to a lot of shops and restaurants, spacious well equipped room, attractive lobby

CanadaThe section of hotel was dated, but well maintained. It could use some updating, but overall, the hotel was very nice.
The room was next to the beach, with a lovely patio and terrific views of the water. Couldn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Had the breakfast one morning, and it was very good.

United KingdomPossibly a little overpriced compared to other hotels in Martinique, especially considering breakfast not included. Also be warned that cruise ship passengers can pay for a day-pass on the (relatively small) beach. The staff do prioritise hotel guests, but nonetheless it felt crowded and noisy on the day they were there (compared to other much more chilled days).
Location in a lovely area, across the bay from Fort de France, not really “resorty” compared to mega-resorts, but a nice feel, lots of good restaurants nearby etc. Beachfront room was excellent - very glad we chose it. Beach is small but lovely with great views across to FdeF. All staff were outstanding, particularly on reception - they deserve a special mention for going above and beyond, with a wonderful welcome, and taking personal responsibility for arranging our departure taxi, even after we’d checked out.

DominicaThe rooms need a total face lift. They really need to be upgraded along with the surroundings - repainting and furniture upgrading is an urgent necessity.
The location was fantastic. You were right there on the beach and also a two minute walk away from the dining and shopping district. Very Friendly staff.

FranceThe cleanliness was approximative... The rooms are slightly outdated. The antique AC leaks... Some remodeling would be necessary.
The hotel location is fabulous (on the beach, close to restaurants and shops). The bar by the pool with view over the Fort-de-France bay is fantastic. Breakfast is great. The rooms on the beach are great.

United StatesThis hotel is set on beautiful grounds, with it's own private beach, and easy access to other beaches in the area. It's also very convenient for the ferry to Fort de France. There's a nice shopping area just next to the hotel with a number of restaurants. Breakfast is quite nice, and the breakfast room has wonderful views. I actually got sick during the visit, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful, getting me a doctor and preparing special foods for me. I thank them very much for that.

CanadaThe beach is the most beautiful sand and clear water on the island, I just wish it was larger to be able to walk along. Additionally, the wifi connection would cut out every time my phone shut off and I’d have to constantly re-connect. I also didn’t like all the smoking on the beach and the smokers all leaving their cigarettes butts in the sand everywhere.
Was breakfast included? I didn’t know that if it was and never had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The location for tourists was the best I’ve seen on the island. It’s a 30 minute drive from the airport and a two minute walk to the adjacent Village Creole, with a grocery store, and many shops and restaurants. Additionally, the marina is located next to the Village which was ideal for the ferry to Fort de France and boat excursions. The room was spacious, well appointed with lots of storage, and the bed, pillows and duvet cover were heavenly! I had a beautiful view of the beach and over to Fort de France. The staff were always very responsive and helpful. I was there over the Christmas holidays, and the special added touch of finding gifts in my room, and a beautiful fruit plate on Christmas Day was a thoughtful and classy touch.
