Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe only real complaint we had was that the airconditioning was centrally turned off at night, because it was "off season" and in "eco mode". However, it was still way too warm at night, and opening the window wasn't ideal due to the street noise. The hotel offered us a floor fan eventually, which mediated the situation. So beware of this when you book, especially if you have a pool-facing room, which will have the sun on it all day.
Everything except the AC was excellent. The food was better than we expected, there was something different in the Coral restaurant every day, even local specialties, and booking the speciality restaurants was easier than we thought it would be (in October). We especially liked Levant and Salia. Drinks were nice and free-flowing, and the staff was always very helpful and friendly.

SpainUnder the all inclusive the alcohol they serve is no-name, so don't expect much. The beer was ok, German brands (we think). However, you couldn't shake the feeling of cheap bar service for some strange reason. Not much variety for the breakfast (but this happens in all hotels) and the coffee could have been better. A strong minus on our side was the late breakfast location (up to 11:00), where there were only plastic coffee cups.
It was our first time at "all inclusive" and the overall impression was very good. On the plus side: excellent location (right across the street from one of the few sandy beaches in Malta), good room (though we have not received the one we have paid for during the first two nights :D), tasty food (and not much on the canteen feeling we were honestly expecting) and good pools. Free parking under the building is a plus. The restaurants for which you needed reservation were so-so (we would rate the oriental food the highest, followed by the Italian). A big thank you to the receptionist who booked us reservations to all of the restaurants.

United KingdomYou have to work out for yourself how the restaurant system works and also you can only go to the booking restaurants( I was told by one of the guests) once every week of your stay. We couldn’t get into some of the ones we wanted to try. Also the queuing at certain sittings of the lebenese restaurant.
Location is great across road from lovely beach.

United KingdomThe adults only area is now 16+?? adults are 18+, of drinking age and above. But also, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of way to keep kids out of it after 6/7pm, which is really annoying as they come in every night. it would be nice to have a section of the rooms that are Adults only too.
amazing location and really handy to the bus stops too!

United KingdomThe swimming pools are big but shallow and overcrowded. The animation team activities felt quite repetitive e.g. the same songs/dances were used for aqua gym, water zumba and water dance in the same day. We tried the massage offered by the hotel spa but sadly we did not find the staff very helpful. We explained we had massages before and would like a deep tissue massage, however the treatment did not meet our expectations. The therapist kept questioning the choice of treatment so instead of the team being honest they could not deliver specific treatments for individual needs, we ended up paying for a poor service. Early morning breakfast was available on the day of departure but it was extremely disappointing and a poor end to our stay. There was no hot food and very restricted continental choices. Unfortunately the bread was stale and there were no fruit.
The hotel has good facilities. There were lots of sunbeds available even when there were lots of guests. There are also volleyball and football pitches and a small mini golf area. The animation team were very friendly and they had a nice variety of games before lunch. Good quality evening entertainment. Restaurant staff were very polite and the food was great. There are a number of smaller restaurants which you can book for free which have specific cuisines e.g. Asian, Brazillian, American and Middle East. Just across the road is a fantastic beach with very shallow sea waters and watersports available.

United KingdomI was aware that the hotel was a family resort prior to booking the stay, and in fairness to the hotel there was an area for adults only with their own pool, but other areas, particularly the foyer were too noisy with unruly children
The quality of the food across the day was very good. There was a good selection of food at all meals and requiring gkuten free food options, the chefs did everything possible to accomodate my requirements

United KingdomAll good. Aircon a bit tricky to work at first but that was probably us not them.
All inclusive resort. Makes it so much easier to just pay at the start and then no unexpected bills later. Food was great. Enjoyed some of the speciality restaurants too for a change. Always lots of choice of food and healthy options, plus some excellent veggie/vegan options. They also would happily cook something else such a nuggets for the kids if requested. Clean rooms and friendly staff too. Our room was spotless. Close to the beach if you fancy a paddle.

LithuaniaWe booked two rooms, so one on the 5th floor was good, the other on the 6th - not. Really poor air condition, uncomfy bed (mattresses in the other room were much better). I asked several times to fix air conditioning in my room, but the man comes only the next day and said I must close the curtains also because it's too hot and it's the last floor.
The meal was good. I also like the swimming pool and the location. The hotel is near a sandy beach. Wifi was really good.

GermanyTwo nights we had a fire alarm. In the first one, I was super afraid of the alarm, and called directly to the reception, and I found that the reception even was not aware of the alarm. Then we were informed that someone smoked at the room, therefore we had it. On the other hand, when it happened twice, I felt that it was not the guilt of any guest smoking, it seems that there was a problem in alarm system. I would highly ask the hotel to check the system. I have already told the reception, as well. The taste of orange juice is not good. I would recommend the hotel to increase the quality of the juices.
They have lots of option for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the time range is quite close to each other. Therefore even if you miss the breakfast, you will not stay hungry and you will have lunch soon. Lunch and dinner consist of starters, main food, salads, vegan meals. kids menu, fruits, sweets and cakes, and ice cream. Everything was super delicious. The pizzas in dinner were amazing! In the main restaurants, there was a special adult area, separated from the place where the families with children sit. The same for swimming pool. The beach is pretty close, and the only thing you have to do is to cross the road, and here it is, the beach. The sea is good, but there are jelly fish. The staff was super nice, and helpful, and always smiling. Big thanks to Jonathan for making our lunch and dinner start perfectly with his warm welcome in the restaurant. The most wonderful part is their attention to the guest - We put "Dont disturb" sign for days, and at the 3rd day, we found the letter that if we want the cleaning late afternoon or if we need any new towel, we can approach to the reception easily. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel which you can go easily to Sliema, Valetta, and anywhere you want with. It is possible to pay directly in the bus. The hotel also has cash withdrawal machine inside. There is Starbucks and beach club near the hotel. Thanks a lot for wonderful time for all hotel staff.

Excellent pools, great food and drinks, good entertainment, nice family-friendly atmosphere. Location is great for watersports hire and boat trips to nearby islands of Comino and Gozo. Bus stops close by for visiting Valetta.

AustraliaThe emergency alarm sounded at 10 pm on our first night, waking us up out of our jet lagged slumber. We needed to evacuate the hotel & wait by the pool area until we were given the all clear. If you don’t like noisy family groups, this is not the hotel for you as it can get noisy & busy especially around the pool areas. There weren’t a lot of options for those who are gluten intolerant on the buffets, particularly alternative bread options. Book if there are any restaurants onsite that you would like to try as soon as you can. A little maintenance required in the rooms, a few chips on furniture that need to be repaired etc.
The view from our rooms was lovely, the resort in general was well maintained + well laid out, & the reception staff were as helpful as they could be even when they were busy. We had full board included in our room rate, this was a good option for us as it was our first week in Europe after a long haul flight as there aren’t a lot of alternative food options close by. We enjoyed walking around the pool area & gardens after dinner. Watching the sunrise from the Seaview rooms was a treat. There is a gift shop onsite, where you can buy bus tickets, water etc.

Jerseywe had a hire car, but roads were so bad in areas that we chose to use public transport as the bus stop was directly opposite the hotel with frequent busses to the capital Valletta. Tip, walk to the previous bus stop to the one outside the hotel, or you could end up staying all the way to Valletta. which is not recommended due to the state of the roads.
Very good hotel with good facilities and happy hard working staff. All inc package was good and food was excellent with plenty of fish options that suited us well. They have areas for adults only as well as having child friendly policies and entertainment. So everybody is well catered for and leads to a good experience for all.
