SerbiaI really liked everything at Bandos! Food was delicious from a-la-carte. Breakfast was all inclusive and offered everything for everyone, every cuisine was available for various types of guests. Local, continental, sweat etc. "Beaches" are all around the island, so you can move and choose your perfect place whenever you go. Pool is in the centre with small bar, perfect to run from the sand if you got it too much. Room was clean everyday, really big, with everything you need. I think this value for money is one of the best in Maldives! I really like side activities available like, ping pong and billiard.

Everything was great: ocean, the island, food, accommodation. it took around 15 min to reach the island by speed boat. It was our first time to Indian ocean and we totally fell in love with it. Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful, cleaning in our room was on time every day. Food was delicious, we tried Indian food for the first time as well. We travelled with 2 kids 4yo and 12 yo and they both had enough food to choose from every day.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe A-la-carte food is usually of much higher quality than the food that is included in the meal plans and served at the buffet — the buffet can have 15-20 meals and maybe 4-5 are high quality, the others are average. It is strange that a resort like this doesn’t have a higher quality for the buffet food at these price points. I think it would be fair even to charge a bit higher for rooms but to have super-high quality food because someone traveling to this place would expect that as a baseline. Don’t get me wrong. The food was not bad — it was good, but just 7/10, while we expected an 8/10 or 9/10. … Selection of drinks is also not extensive — e.g. there is no 0% alcohol beer or decaf coffee which is standard in luxury resorts and expected nowadays in an era of health optimization and prevention. … Also, some of the staff could be more friendly and smiling more often :) but no big deal here. ... My comments might sound too critical - but this is an amazing place and it deserves a 5-10% improvement that will lift it where it needs to be.
Really great island and feeling to be there - amazing beaches and feels really unique. Beautiful place. Rooms are clean and spacious. Some of the staff was really friendly and nice and we had nice conversations - 5% of the staff to be more precise. The a-la-carte restaurants are pretty solid.

United Arab EmiratesOur room was in the bangalos near the pool, the vibe is great and no problem there, but the walls between the rooms are super thin, that even if you whisper, the neighbours were knocking on the wall, I don't know if the negative is the wall or the neighbours, I mean you are on vacation so chill :)
BEACH: amazing view and perfect wide sandy beach where you can relax and enjoy soaking up the sun! we even got our snorkeling gear and enjoyed hours every day of watching the tropical beautiful fish and we saw sharks too! amazing! BREAKFAST & DINNER: we took the package with Breakfast and Dinner included, so we can have lunch in the bars and restaurants around the hotel, the Buffet offers a lot of options and we really enjoyed Dinner as the menu changes every night! THE STAFF: this is by far what made our stay memorable. We had the pleasure to meet beautiful people inside out from the staff and they were extremely helpful and so kind hearted. here are some stories we will never forget: 1. Afrah, he was the first person we met, he helped us chose the perfect Maldivian dishes as we wanted something as authentic as it can be! his attention to detail is exceptional, thank you Afrah! 2. Genelyn, was extremely sweet and very thoughtful, we had a nice chat about all our countries and we will always remember her! thank you so much Genelyn for your kindness. 3. Ibrahim, we had the pleasure to meet Ibrahim also in Huvan, what amazed us about him is his ability to directly remember our names and he noticed my love for ice cubes and lime with my water and since day one every time we went to have lunch in Huvan, lots of ice and lime were waiting for me! Ibrahim we hope to see you soon friend! 4. Marifi & Royal, friends! You guys made our anniversary dinner so special and your attention to details is beyond appreciated. if we ever go back to Bandos, it will be thanks to your energy and care, we send all our thanks to you both and we love your professionalism! keep that energy high always! we can't wait to see you soon and we know that all travelers feel the same about your work ethics. United StatesFood and drink prices were steep for what it was, so we didn't order much outside of the half board. It would have been great if there were even a vending machine with drinks or more snacks to purchase in the shop. I wish I would have brought snacks as there was a fridge in the room but not sure what you would put in there as there was only the restaurants to get food from. Also, it would have been nice if the pool was cooled. By the afternoon it was a giant hot tub. Still great though :)
The beaches were great! Snorkeling right off the island was amazing. The dinner and breakfast buffets were really nice and had a good variety of choices for the price. Somewhere it said that there was a drink included with the buffet but that was not correct. That would have made it perfect!

United KingdomWe would have preferred to stay in one room, and feel the space available could have facilitated this. The money saved on the extra room would have enabled us to stay for longer, and to enjoy more of the trips and tours on offer. We were disappointed at the prices of tours, activities and watersports. Things like having to pay to use the tennis courts does not seem fitting, having stayed elsewhere in resorts around the world, where more is included, for less. We were aware of Bandos' proximity to Male and other islands - in fact, we chose this resort for the short transfer time. Were we to visit the Maldives again, we'd likely choose somewhere a little further afield. Views of the city, construction works and other islands did detract from the paradisical ambience one expects from the Maldives. More information available on the beaches re snorkelling, tips and risks etc. would be welcomed. My 11 year old had an unexpected confrontation with a titan triggerfish, which affected his confidence in the water unfortunately.
We enjoyed the seamless transition from Male airport to the hotel via speedboat, and were greeted with welcome drinks and an early check in. The island is beautiful, well maintained and our standard beach rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis to enable us to enjoy the range of restaurants available, and made full use of the facilities, including the pool, beaches, club house and entertainment. A stress free and simple first visit to the Maldives.

United Arab EmiratesInconvenient facilities working hours. All the restaurants, bars, shops, clubhouse and even clinic open and close at different times and guests are supposed to keep up with that. The clubhouse closes at 6 pm, while evening is actually the best time to use it. We had an all-inclusive package, but were really disappointed in it. First of all, more than half options in the menu are not included. Second, you always have to check where you can go at this particular time, you cannot just go to any bar and take a drink. The staff is very rigid with the timings. We asked for a drink at 6 sharp and were told this bar is closing at 6 and we have to go to another one. The drinks cannot be taken outside the bar (except one bar). Even though, they have the take away cups, you can only get them if you pay for them (with an all-inclusive package). Pool table in the bar is chargeable, only the one in clubhouse is included, but drinks are not served there and it closes at 6 pm.. No slippers, no bathrobes, no vanity kit. Only one restaurant is included in the meal plan, the rest are just for drinks.
The hotel and whole island are beautiful. It has an extensive coral reef with lots of fish, snorkelling there was amazing. Location is good, not far from the airport and the island is quite big. There are many things to do there - diving, snorkelling, water sports, tennis, football, volleyball, billiard, SPA, tours and nightly shows. Food was good and had nice variety. There is a large shop where you can buy travel essentials and souvenirs. Fish feeding was nice, we saw a lot of sharks and sting rays.

This was our 3rd return to Bandos Resort. The perfect location, the excellent house reef and the hospitality of the staff are the reasons we keep returning. This resort is excellently managed and it shows in every aspects. I would specially highlight the Sea Breeze staff and the Pool Bar staff as excellent professionals. Special applause to Aditye and Surej at the pool bar! Also I was really impressed how the wifi quality improved since our last visit. Now you could even watch movies online. Our accomodation was the Beach Villa. Good news to future travellers, that now all Beach Villas are finished with reconstruction, the quality, freshness of design is superb. The bed was extremely comfortable, I would rate it as the best ever I have experienced in a hotel. I had zero problem with my neck herniation during the whole stay of 10 days. View to ocean also got significantly better from these Villas, as renovation also included gardening renewal.

For the meeting, service and farewell to the staff the highest rating! The hotel is located on a very well maintained green island, which feels like a real tropical paradise in Bounty style. Cleanliness everywhere. This is the first hotel in all our travels in which the air conditioning worked really silently. The beaches and equipment on them are beyond praise! The organization of housekeeping is simply amazing and made in such a way that vacationers do not feel any inconvenience.We have never tasted such delicious sweets, fish and national dishes before. The hotel drinking water is very tasty because it is served in glass containers. It also contributes to solving the problem of ecology. Holidays in Bandos exceeded all expectations and will be happy to return here again!
