“The apartment-room that we had - a Junior suite - was lovely, with a fireplace (very necessary on the cold evenings!), a sitting area with two sofas that could be made up as beds, as well as a small kitchen. The bedroom is on a mezzanine. It is spotless, with water provided every day. Meals are taken in the main building; breakfast is a very generous buffet, lunches and dinners are a la carte. The staff are young and friendly, although as we have very little Spanish we struggled a little with communication. The estate is huge, and there are several hundred houses dotted through the trees, all privately owned within the complex.”
“First of all Tapalpa is a gem and well worth visiting. The hotel is right by the main square. You can park easily in the street outside. It was more or less empty when we visited on Day of the Dead. The room was a bit dilapidated (shower coming off wall etc) but comfortable king-sized bed. Wonderful big mediaeval type key! Young staff did their best. Once you find it, breakfast is made to order.”
“The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The attention of cleaning, dining and reception staff was exceptional”
“I liked that water was available for the rooms in a jug and not in plastic water bottles. I also liked that hot water, coffee and tea and cookies were available in the lobby. It was great to have private parking and a lot of air flow through the rooms with Windows and doors.”
“Breakfast was really not much, if she added some fruit and yogurt would be better. Location was in the woods, very quiet and serene. Not far from town of Talapa. We were able to park right by our cabin.”
“Beautiful place at only one block away from the main square. The style of the hotel is just gorgeous. I can recommend this place for a visit to Tapalpa”
