A beautiful lodge in a great location right on the beach. The balcony with deck chairs and hammock overlooking the beach was just stunning. Extra sun beds on the beach and the use of the outside kitchen was great. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

My only complaint was that the bed was too hard for me and the pillow not great, although I requested more pillows and they were much better. This is more of an issue for light sleepers, like myself, but the fan was too loud. If you want to use the mosquito net you pretty much need to use the fan, which is well placed within the mosquito net so that it blows right on you, but it is a large fan and rather noisy. So between the sounds of the waves and the fan I really could not sleep well.

Our balcony was amazing with nice comfy chairs, hammock and gorgeous view. The grounds were very nice and kept tidy. I loved all the palm trees and overall feel of the place. The staff were nice and helpful. The beach right in front had red flags but you could still safely get in, submerse and bob around in the shallow surf and have fun without going out deep. The safer beach was less than five minute walk down the beach.

I really had to rack my brain to think of something I didn't like. If I was to be picky, the bed and pillows could be more comfortable. The bed was very firm (which will help it last longer, i know). A plush topper would be a big improvement. I was happy to see the mattress inside an encasement, which is the first time I've seen this in Mexico. As is fairly standard in Mexico in my experience, the pillows were very flat and only two were provided. Also, as is common across much of Mexico, the water pressure isn't great and this place does not have hot water. This wasn't a problem for us because it was so hot outside, a cool shower felt nice.

Everything - the location, the staff, the facilities, the vibe, it was all great. Little thoughtful touches made it exceptional, from the shared kitchen with free drinking water, to the placement of light switches, outlets, spigots to wash sand off your feet, etc. The whole place is very thoughtfully designed with a chill, peaceful vibe, and good upkeep.

Waves were pretty wild but that is just how the ocean is. We still managed to have fun and the guys from cabaños filled in a little tank of water for our daughter to splash.

It was absolutely fantastic. We were a family of four adults and a toddler and occupied Tortuga and Dolphins cabaños. Location is spectacular: Mazunte beach is a short drive away, but a great local breakfast place, La Mora, is just around the corner and another beach cafe with fast wifi and good coffee is a step away. Most importantly, many cabaños along the beach do not have trees, while we had the most romantic jungle of coconut palms and almond tropical trees at the doorsteps. Very clean, very romantic, very very very friendly. Big thank you for our five wonderful days!

this was the most amazing stay we had in Mexico! extremely friendly staff, nothing was too much to ask, a great outdoor kitchen with all you need, spacious rooms, good beds, perfect lounge spots and beds, and the most perfect location: beautiful beach with left sunrise, right side sunset: all you need! we will go again, that’s for sure!

We just loved it and were sad to leave.

It was just fantastic. Right on the beach with the endless roar of huge waves, clean sand, hammocks, beach beds, plenty of shade, a breeze, clean white sheets, quality fans in the rooms, charming rustic touches, but also thoughtful modern ones - like plenty of outlets! The staff managed to both keep a clean, quiet, orderly place while also having a live-and-let-live vibe. They were all kind and helpful. This is a great place to curl up with a book or drift off to sleep to the sound of the ocean. We can't wait to go back - and for longer next time!

This is a unique lodging with incredibly creative architecture located right on the beach. Our room had a large balcony amidst birds, trees, and the sound of the surf, with a close up view of the beach and ocean. Comfortable and shaded lounge seating is on the beach. There is a full kitchen available for making your own meals. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, informational, and talkative--and they speak English if you need/want that. All in all, a great experience. It's also on the only street and close to all restaurants, etc. Fantastic broad beach. We want to go back!

There is nothing bad i could say about Ecocabanas Bambu but if you are looking for luxury you might be better off somewhere else. The only thing you might add is that there is no restaurant within the property, although next to it there are plenty of options. Besides, there is a great kitchen if you are equipped to do your own cooking. You'll have a great time thats for sure.

Everything about Ecocabanas Bambu is just perfect. For us it really is the perfect stay in San Agustinillo: It feels perfectly integrated into nature. At the same time you are directly by the beautiful beach and the set-up with bedchairs and hammocks is super cozy. We loved it and Memo, the owner, is a real sweetheart! He went out of his way to make our stay perfect, even arranging our boat trip to see the dolphins!

beach chairs could be upgraded need more than one wine glass in kitchen! plastic would be ok. would love it if staff would have a pot of coffee on for guests in the morning (just a thought; I know it’s available a short walk down the road).

Perfect location right on the beach. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The property has a very communal feel and the staff were wonderful. They were very helpful in arranging transportation, massages and giving local tips. There are plenty of beach beds, chairs and hammocks both in the sun and in shade which made for a perfect way to spend the day on the water. I loved the communal kitchen with a coffee maker and other amenities. Plus there were a number of doggie and kittie friends that made it feel like home. Bambu is truly a very special place and you feel so welcomed right as you arrive. Amazing value.
