Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy room didn’t have a TV or Radio to listen to music or watch Tv. If I had a tv or a radio then it would have been great. Other than that, it was good.
Very nice and modern hotel. Great amenities. Staff is very nice. I felt welcomed and my stay was good. I felt I got good rest. I also liked the snacks that were present in the room.

United Statesdoesn't have a gym or yoga or spa. that's misleading. also not in Oaxaca. it takes at least 30 minutes to get to the center of Oaxaca. with traffic even longer. you will be spending a lot of money and time commuting.
nice and peaceful. great lap pool. each room comes with a private patio. high ceilings. king size bed. air-conditioning works well. good breakfast, but I was charged for it.

United StatesThis little boutique hotel is a Mouse that Roars in the countryside, located somewhat inexplicably in a small town in the Oaxaca valley. It is clearly the work of a highly creative and dedicated architect/designer. The urban mod upscale aesthetic is totally different from the modest, little pueblo of Tlacochahuaya around it. Who designed it, and why put it here? I never found out. But it was a beautiful, comfortable, even luxurious place to stay, and it worked perfectly for me, as I was visiting nearby Villa Agroecológica Tierra del Sol (a MAGICAL place) just outside Tlacochahuaya. The WiFi was excellent, fast and reliable, some of the best I experienced in Oaxaca.

AustraliaWe had a perfect stay at Hotel Cosijo! We really enjoyed this place and it was unique experience to live in such a small community for three days. We will never forget it! Yes the pool and rooms and food was great but we enjoyed the longer time spent here (We originally only booked for one night). After the first night we felt so comfortable and at home we booked another night and then another. In the end we had to leave to get out transfer to Puerto Escondido. I would prefer to stay here than central Oaxaca in the future. The food and hospitality is lovely and with a big heart! It would help if you want to book this place, That you can speak some Spanish. My partner is from Mexico and I can understand conversations but keep in mind this is a small town where many people speak two languages already and that doesn’t include English necessarily! The staff will look after you what ever your country of course! We spent lots of time in the pool. It’s heated enough to enjoy in the evenings, mornings, etc Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. There is no air conditioner but we were not hot. It cools down at night and there is fly screens

United StatesI was in a three-bedroom, and one of the beds didn't have the complete set of sheets; I complained and got the sheets two days later. Rooms didn't have toilet paper replacement. One day, we ran out of it, which was not an excellent idea. Rooms are described as having a TV flat, but none have it. We wanted to watch a football game one day on the lobby TV, but the lady at the front desk told us there was so much wind to hang the screen, which didn't. The water from the shower runs out of the area and through the room.
Beautiful and very spacious rooms, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and with the taste of the local cuisine, we got an old bakery one day, but it was replaced with a fresh one when we complained. Rooms are minimalist decorated, which makes you feel you are in a Zen environment.

United StatesWe had a slight issue with warm water coming from our shower. The team immediately tried to fix the problem and when it took a bit longer than a few minutes, we were graciously moved to another room.
The grounds are modern and beautiful, while also reflecting the surrounding area’s culture. The rooms are spacious, elegant and airy. The staff was phenomenal. They work tirelessly to ensure each guest has a memorable stay - from breakfast, to tidying the rooms to your time interacting with them on the premises. They’re all very kind people. If you’re lucky enough to meet the adopted pup, Choco, give him a hug. He’s friendly and sweet and loves attention 😊

FranceThis property is nothing like it looks in the pictures. The pool was dirty, there were spiders in the room, room furniture is very cheap, the property if far out from Oaxaca and in a town that has an eerie feeling. I also reckon some of the reviews are fake. I made a reservation for four nights but I had to checkout after the first night; the other guests, a family of four, also did just that. Now we are fighting to get reimbursed. @Bookings should do the needful.

United StatesBAD & UGLY: NO HEAT, OR A/C-Rooms completely devoid of ANY temperature control. In short NO HEATING AND NO AIR CONDITIONING, PERIOD! We froze each and every night of our prepaid, 3-night stay. UNLOCKING ROOM-Rooms are box shaped with sliding patio doors as sole entrance/exit, and although a long key was provided it was useless as the sliding door and screen were badly offset. SHOWER-Small round shower head was in bad condition. So much so that when activated majority of the water sprayed goes outside of the shower stall, onto bathroom floor, on both sides, with little spraying onto person in shower. NO ELECTRONICS-No TV, No Alarm Clock, No Coffee Maker, No Refrigerator, No Wet-Bar or Snacks, No USB Ports! KITCHEN-is a section designated on the outdoor ONLY patio (where we also froze!). As Vegans the breakfast included with our room rate was a complete waste and this hotel doesn't have anything to accommodate vegans. LOCATION-Hotel is located @25 minutes away from Oaxaca Old Town, requiring a lengthy, bumpy ride along pothole and speed bump ridden highways and roadways. PARKING-Although the hotel does provide parking, it's worth noting that it's located 2 blocks away, and requires stopping at the hotel, and tracking down a staff member willing and able to stop what they were doing in order to walk 2-blocks to the gated, outdoor parking courtyard to provide access when entering or leaving. Most inconvenient! WiFi-Spotty, kept cutting in and out for extended periods throughout our stay.
GOOD: Hotel was refurbished. It's designed with a Zen theme throughout.

ColombiaZero security, shower heads barely worked, curtains falling off the rails, other peoples hair on the rug, chair was dirty, coffee table had old stains. If this hotel was $50 a night it would have been fair but the hotel was more expensive than our previous stays in oaxaca and Mexico City and and our room was not secure or safe and not well maintained. For the price you’re spending to stay there they should be able to fix and replace things when they look dirty and old or broken.. doesn’t seem like they put what they make back into the business to maintain it. There was no food in the town, I’m vegetarian and I didn’t know that they would only sell beef or pork tacos in the village. The people working there didn’t seem to tell you anything about the area so we spent almost two days without eating food because nothing was open. They really need to fix the locks for the guests because we are tourists and we don’t know mexico, we don’t know what could happen at night or if someone could break into our room, even a guest could do it. They didn’t seem to think it was a big deal but if we knew our door couldn’t lock we wouldn’t have gone to this hotel/motel.
The rural aspect of the area was beautiful to see.
