The front desk staff were a bit rude. Barely any toilet paper in the room and when my daughter called the front desk to inquire about getting more they weren't helpful and hung up on her. The restaurant doesn't have much of a selection for food and the prices were high compared to other restaurants in the area.

Don’t think the water in the pool has ever been changed. Odd that a hotel so large can rarely get a taxi, when I’ve stayed at other smaller hotels close by, they can get a taxi to. answer 80% of the time, at this hotel around 20%.

Reception was understaffed, and the staff that were there didn't seem very good at their jobs The bigger pool was max depth 1.25 metres, and really just for kids. All installations were a bit old and dated. For example, in both the shower and sink the taps were almost impossible to turn off fully so always dripping. Cockerels wake you at 2am and 4am and never seem to stop. You can also hear the toilets flushing and taps running in neighbouring rooms extremely loud. I'm not a light sleeper, and it's rare I complain about noise, but it was quite bad here.

The pillows could use an upgrade; the breakfast buffet does not need a person to serve you, it creates an unnecessary waiting line; and the pool bar, had it been functional, it would have been amazing.

The hotel was fine; nothing superb but fine. Everything worked out pretty well, everything as presented in the photos and the information provided. It met my expectations. The view is beautiful, therefore the location might require a power-walk. But it wasn’t so bad, and definitely worth it if you don’t want to be in the noisy part of town.

Above comment re standard of initial room

The original room allocated was poor in terms of standard of decor, no hot water and a faulty and insecure bathroom window. We were moved after making a complaint and the revised room was far better. The property was reasonably well situated about a 15 minute walk from the beach and the town / shops. The staff were all friendly and helpful particularly the restaurant / breakfast staff. The swimming pool and gym were used and were very good.

However, the restaurant food was a hard NO. Food was nasty, even the free breakfast. Feels like they reuse leftovers, it tasted spoiled I’m surprised I didn’t get food poisoning! It’s a 5 minute taxi ride and a 20 minute walk from the strip with the restaurants and clubs. The 20 min walk is tough with the hills and weather. There was no one at the pool and there’s no bar in the little tent. I suggest getting a hotel close in the strip and wouldn’t worry about the pool since the beaches are beautiful, full of food and drinks. I was stuck in the beaches!! I just feel in love! I had my mom send me money to avoid any big fees as they pack you! Don’t change your money at the airports. She sent me money to Elektra bank, it was 5 mins away from the hotel. And then I also changed $100 more there for a $5 fee (100 pesos.) Buy any tours once you’re there. Online tours listed in trip advisor are $100 U.S money. But the taxis were offering tours and they were $15 U.S money. The tour guys at the beaches offered boat trip with sea turtle watching for 250 pesos which is like $15. Buy your tours then and there!! I also visited family there and recommended playa agua blanca. We didn’t go, we went to playa carrizalillo and playa manzanilla. Carrizalillo was more adult vibes and the other one more family friendly. BTW playa manzanillo and playa angelito are literally right next to each other. You can see literally see eachother. The buildings there look old and rusty but that’s because there’s heavy rains and thunderstorms there. BTW summer there is between February and May. I went in June during thunderstorms but it actually just rained a little once. Is was still hot and humid, with not much sun. Loved the weather

‼️ advice for new visitors ‼️ The hotel was nice and clean, just found a small stain on one pillow. Staff was very kind, had no issues. Housekeeping cleaned every morning and restocked every time.

although my husband has health issues and is not allowed to wear a face mask they didn’t allow him to approach a buffet without it. The buffet is only available when there is over 100 guests in the hotel, if there is less then 100 there is a menu available and we had a problem to order crisps for a breakfast which were actually available at the buffet the previous day.

there is very big pool and the ares around it is very nice. the room has nice view and the restaurant has also magnificient view.

The room, not so great. Super outdated. The beds were rock hard. Pillows were horrible. And very uncomfortable sheets. TV had no sound. And the toilet squealed like a pig every time we flushed it. The room kinda of ruined the stay.

At 6 am everyday there was a lot of noise above us, our room was below the kitchen so probably that was the main reason but it was annoying. Also the rate here in booking was more expensive than the actual hotel rate

Barely anyone can talk English here I wanted to reserve another 2 days but the price difference between the front counter and booking was shocking they wanted an extra 2k pesos So naturally I closed from booking There is a rooster (chicken) that you hear late at night and very early in the morning I don't know why no one wrote about this but very hard to sleep in the morning there is a lot of natural light so if you come here just put something to cover you eyes and plugs for your ears

Entire hotel seems neglected, it could be much cleaner. Air conditioning smelled really bad, like it was never taken care of. Swimming pool had no active water exchange, that’s why it was ok in the morning and became much more dirty throughout the day. No one spoke english at the reception desk. Breakfast was exactly the same each day.

View from the restaurant is beautiful. View from the room was also really nice (we had ocean view). They allowed us to store our luggage for few hours after the checkout. They allowed us to check-in earlier.

The property had been somewhat neglected at the time of my stay. The pool was not the cleanest. It had a heavy scum ring around the waterline and many leaves/feathers floating on the surface. The most bothersome issue for me was that the room is dark at night. There is no central light in the room, only dimly lit sconces above the beds and a light above the entrance. The hotel does not offer a reading lamp so if you want to do some work at the desk at night, it is hard to see. I had to rearrange the furniture so that desk was close to the entrance and bathroom sink lighting to read. The shower would take about 10 minutes before hot water would start to flow. The internet was fairly good compared to other hotels in Puerto Escondido. This property did not respond to three attempts I made to contact this property.

The Breakfast was wonderful. It had a great variety of foods that were delicious. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive. It was a nice touch that the hotel offered beach towels. Air conditioning worked great! The rooms are very spacious.
