Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaDuring my stay at Exe Suites San Marino in Mexico, I encountered several frustrating issues that made my experience far from enjoyable. The most glaring problem was the consistently poor wifi, which made it nearly impossible to stay connected. To add to the discomfort, the AC was beyond frustrating to deal with – not only did we have no control over it, but it also automatically shut off in the morning, leaving the room unbearably warm. The room itself was a far cry from the alluring images displayed during the booking process, which was incredibly disappointing. On top of all this, numerous outlets in the room were non-functional, causing further inconvenience. All in all, I strongly advise against choosing this hotel due to its myriad of issues, including bad wifi, faulty AC, and an inaccurate representation of the rooms.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and did a great job cleaning the room.

United StatesI stayed in this property for almost three weeks. The building is old and needs updating. The elevator works to go up, but in order to go down, I either had to take the stairs (5 stories), or call reception to have them send me the elevator. The room itself was very dated. The kitchen area was tiny and has very old burners and a microwave that I think dated back to the 1990s that kept shorting out. The couch looked like it dated back to the 1970s' with frayed old fabric. My overall initial impression was "yuck." The other downside is that in addition to regular city street noise, there is a restaurant on the first level that plays music every night sometimes until 2 in the morning and it was exhausting. I was not able to sleep soundly.
The view from my room was beautiful and the bed was large, clean and comfortable. The staff are very kind and attentive if you need anything.

ColombiaThe wifi did not work at any point of our week stay. If you plan to work from the hotel I recommend you look for another option, nothing loaded not even whatapp messages, it was a nightmare. Facility was older so it felt a little run down. The elevator was not working so we had to call reception if we wanted to use it so they could send it up to our floor, which was kind of inconvenient.
The room was very spacious and the location was very central.

PortugalThe WiFi was really slow, the building itself is very old and desperately needs renovating e.g. the elevator doesn't reall work properly. And the communication with the hotel staff is quite impossible: no one responded to my booking requests for 1) an airport shuttle (even though its listed as an available ammenity), 2) for a late checkout, i had to ask in person on the day I left, but it would have been so much more convenient to know beforehand
The location near the Angel of Independence was very central and convenient. The breakfast was really delicious with friendly staff. And the room itself is a nice big size, which was very spacious.

Canadawell, how many characters do i have? owners of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. it has been run into the ground. both elevators not working properly, one of them completely down, kitchenette is from the 70’s, didn’t dare turn anything on, rugs 40 years old and have come up and are loose on the floor. definitely original rugs from 40 years ago, bathroom super old, the sign on the roof of the hotel is so rusted and old, it should be checked to see if it is still secure. staff is good but ownership is the problem. ceo should be fired. love to buy this hotel and renovate to bring it back to life. the rooms are large and good layout so the potential is there to renovate. windows are single pane and very noisy. i guess they are running into the ground to demolish one day or maybe they are trying to sell it and put no money into it.
bed was not queen as mentioned in my reservation but very comfortable

Location very convenient. Lovely view of Angle de la Independencia. Big glass windows with a small ventilator to slide open at the bottom. The room was spacious as well and came equipped with a kitchennete. They provided utensils on request. They had a coil stove, microwave and coffee maker. Oxxo convenience store was just across the road. Walmart was 2 km away.

Germany- the room was super loud since there was a non-turn-off ac that automatically runs from 0800-1900 oclock; we are talking a full power fan; the blend for it was not insulated so it was loud even when you closed it; took a video of that - the room was loud in general due to it's destination; the window does not have a double insulation nor a proper frame and is framed by the wall so all the noise and shaking amplify on it; btw my gf is an architect and told me that this kind of windows is not legal anymore; took a picture of that - the furniture was heavily damaged; scratches, broken parts, withered plastics; took several pictures of that - the floor and closets were damaged, scratched surfaces, splittered parts, water bloating etc.; took several pictures of that - the couch was super worn out and look nothing like the pictures; took a picture of that - the room had poor lighting which gave it a semi dark atmosphere like a "film noir" - the elevater brakes do not work properly since there is heavy shaking every time it stops; took a video of that - slow wifi with only 4MB down, 0,5MB up and about 50ms ping; no upgrades possible; took a picture of several speed tests - when my gf (a native speaker) asked for another room they told us that there was none available - when we checked out they did not even asked why we were leaving immediately or if we had a good stay which tells a lot about what they know about this place
DO NOT BOOK THIS. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! This was my worst stay in 40 years of travelling. I checked out half an hour after checking in and booked somewhere else... I would even call this a scam and will definetly write a complain to the hotel chain, to booking.com as well as posting this review on several plattforms. I took photos and videos to prove all my alligations. What was good: + the quality of the beds was ok at first glance + room had a good size + location technically is good But there were so many really bad things. Like really bad! What was bad? Oh boy... let's get started. I consider this a scam and will use a lawyer to get my money back because this was not even close to 5-star. It was worse than any 1- oder 2-star hostels I used to stay! What are my problems: - when checking in they demanded 25 USD more than anticipated on booking.com; when I complained they offered to just have me pay the 1st day (75% of total price) and the rest tomorrow if I decide to stay longer; this should have been my first warning - it was filthy dirty; it was so dirty that I have the assumption that some things have not beend cleaned for months or at all - the kitchen utensils had dirt on them (bright orange spot); took a picture of that - there was garbage on the floor, couch and in the closet which looked like nuts or shells of nuts; took pictures of that - a dead fly on the floor; took a picture of that - the shower armatures were super oxidated and had colours that could be mold; took a picture of that - all the ac exits or air vents were super dirty, covered with a mixture of dust and dirt; took pictures of that - there were fingerprints and other dirt tracks on the walls; it was so bad that when I rubbed my finger it turned black which tells me that this has not been cleaned for years; took pictures and a video of that
