Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThey have a couple of issues, first they share the hotel with a restaurant, they have a dining room on the first floor and another one on the rooftop, they both have loud music until about midnight, some rooms face the dining areas so it is impossible to sleep until they close, the rooms are nice but do not have any natural light they don’t have windows of any kind so you start to feel a little claustrophic after a few nights, other than that the hotel is very nice.
It is a lovely boutique hotel on a colonial house in the city center, very close to all that San Miguel has to offer.

AustraliaBe warned the town and its neighbours love fireworks during festival times. They are loud but if expected they don’t come as a shock. Don’t be surprised if you wake to the sounds of the fireworks before church begins. This just adds to the nuance of the location and not something we were particularly bothered by.
The hotel is beautiful and boutique. Well furnished and very spacious. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is well laid out with a very large shower. Rooftop bar has beautiful sunset views of the cathedral with some really nice food and classic Margheritas. They were able to cater for vegans too. The highlight of this place is the personal service offered by Joshua the Concierge. His local knowledge steered us to some fantastic breakfast spots, restaurants, places to see and some great bars. Thank you to all the staff and Joshua for making this a very enjoyable and memorable stay. You are an assett to the hotel .

United StatesExcellent location, walkable to everything we wanted to see. Carmen and the staff really went above and beyond to help us with making our trip smooth and comfortable - everything from transportation, covid tests and off site laundry. The room was beautiful and breakfast was nice. The area was very safe and we enjoyed being close to Parque Benito Juarez where we could go running.

United StatesIt didn’t affect my stay but guests should know that all ground floor rooms are entered off the courtyard and restaurant tables are right there. Also there are no windows in the guest rooms due to the courtyard arrangement.
Fantastic old courtyard building very central to the city. Amazing restaurant in the courtyard, rooftop bar.

United StatesWe were looking for a centrally located hotel with a pool and it was exactly what we needed! The location was superb, steps from the main plaza! The rooms were comfortable (we got such a nice night's sleep in the bed each night!), quiet (very good sound proofing despite being in the middle of a large city!), and clean (so clean!). Each morning the pool was warm for an early dip and the courtyard was so serene and beautiful. We loved our nightly cocktail on the rooftop too! Thank you to Carmen and the entire staff who made our stay so wonderful.

United StatesThe accommodations were less than desirable. Our room is physically located by the rooftop bar so we could hear the sounds of doors being slammed all night, to glasses clanking, until closing. The music was also blaring as we tried to get to sleep early, along with the music selection. Visitors come to Mexico to partake in the culture, and music is a big part of the experience. The music selection that was being played all 4 nights we were there was American pop music, to techno versions of 80's tunes. Very disappointing.
The breakfast was great, but you could use more morning staff. It took a considerable amount of time just for a coffee refill. The waiter was running back and forth working on multiple tables at a time. Aside from these types of delays i was pleased with the food and courtesy of the staff.

United StatesThe hotel manager helped organize a private car to/from hotel. The location was walking distance to a lot of great spots in town. Felt safe walking at night. The hotel helped us book a covid test in our room. They have a bar and restaurant at the hotel (La Doña) which was also excellent! They have two pools and the facility was clean. Worth the price and would definitely return in the future. The town was lovely! We were there for día del muertos weekend and I hope to return on a quieter time to check out more places in town.

United StatesThe hotel has a very nice restaurant and rooftop bar that stay open until 11pm and tbe music from the DJ is loud.
The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the main square and shops. The room is very wonderful and staff is super helpfull. I think they realize its noisy since the offer free earplugs.
