The towels are a bit worn through and there's a small amount of lift noise as the room is near but it's overall pretty quiet and a lovely retreat.

The hotel is in a great location and has new Aircon which in the heatwave I've experienced was key as I left another accommodation when I couldn't sleep. The power went out in a storm and came back quickly. I've extended my stay here. The staff spoke English and have been so friendly and helpful. I got a bonus drink at the bar which was delicious and the pool is small but refreshing. The outdoor dining area is lovely.

Unable to charge meals to your room at the restaurant. The pool has no space to lounge, and they only offer three tables with six chairs. The pool area was always crowded, leading to people having to sit on the ground.

One detail - there was a ceiling fan in the room that appeared to be on high speed and could not be turned off. A little weird and a little uncomfortable.

Hotel building has a lot of charm. Room was well equipped and spotless, bed was comfortable, restaurant was very good, staff extremely friendly. Location is amazing, US consulate, pharmacy, doctor and office supply stores and lots more all within an easy walk.

Super close to El centro and everything around. Restaurante upstairs was delicious. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and close to all the sites to see. Service was excellent. They helped with calling a taxi on my last day. Very attentive.

I reserved for three people and there were only two towels every time. We tried to used the restaurant with a handicap person and since the restaurant had an event, they didn’t let us use the main handicap entrance.

The bathroom is too small/ugly compared to the room and general hotel aesthetics. However, it got the job done with good water pressure and hot water.

The location is great, the hotel is comfortable and pretty. The room was big and clean. It has an air conditioner which is not common in Oaxaca. The terrace is so romantic, with a very nice view of the mountains. The staff was very nice too.

We loved the location. The hotel is attached to a lovely rooftop restaurant. We had a room that overlooked the pool and that was lovely. Everything you needed was very close. The staff was great. They even sent a doctor to our room when my husband was sick with the Revenge. The hotel was very soundproof and quiet even though it was in Centro.

There wasn’t anything I did not like about the property.

The property is clean and beautiful. It is centrally located. Getting around town on foot to Mercado 20 de Noviembre is a 5 minute walk. The service at Oaxaca Real is superb. Everyone is very friendly and always happy to help. They are absolutely happy to help you and welcoming. The restaurant is very affordable and delicious. I recommend the Michelada, which is simple, but has an amazing depth of flavor. There is a mezcal tasting room where you can purchase bottles of mezcal as well. The gentleman in there has a wealth of information about mezcal as well. We’re coming back and staying here from now on. There are much fancier & expensive hotels but having visited, we were very unimpressed with the lack of warmth.

Since you can hear every conversation in the corridor, it would be nice to remind people not to be noisy after 11pm. Breakfast was not the best. I wish it would have more local flavors. I wish I would have a coffee maker in my room, so I can make some tea. I got sick during my trip and really needed it.

Location is fantastic. The main plaza is a few blocks away, and close to the main pedestrian street where all the tourist action is. Room was ok. It was comfortable, but you can hear everything in the walkway and the neighbors' rooms: kids running around, people talking and laughing, couples having sex, etc. It's a big happy family there with no secrets lol. Breakfast was not the best. I wish it would have more local flavors. Overall good, but I would prefer something more quiet.

Our room was noisy during the afternoon because there was construction going on one floor above, and our room adjoined an air shaft/ small inner court. When we complained, an alternate room was offered but we didn’t take it because the bed was too close to closet, making access to it a bit more difficult. On balance, the room we had was acceptable because we were usually out during the noisiest time of day.

Location excellent. Staff was always helpful. Restaurant was good. We enjoyed the pool area. I even had a Zoom meeting at 8 PM in the pool area since I didn't want to disturb my wife by attending the online meeting in our room.

Rooms could use some renovation and a mini fridge. Cleaning staff threw away our water and food and took some of our clothing and had to go ask for them to be returned.

Bellboy service was slow and when we gave the luggage for storage, they left it at the lobby without anyone looking at it, anyone passing by can just grab it and steal it. We also asked for 1 extra hour for check out, but was denied.

The biggest problem we had were the electronic swipe cards to get into the room which had to reprogrammed several times each day. The room didn’t have a fridge so it wasn’t possible to keep any food that required refrigeration is the room and shower cubicle leaked.

Very traditional feel to the hotel and located close to the centre of town. The rooms are smallish but quite comfortable. Good restaurants, cafes and bars within a short walk.
