Unusual check-in time for me is 2pm, usually at 12pm. Late check out for additional fee, 2 hours 100 MYR.

- we arrived very late at night (2:30/3am) but reception wasn’t yet prepared for us. - Breakfast: local cuisine parts were nice, but e.g. scrambled eggs & sausage were ice cold, and other than that there was kellogs type and one type of sausage for the white toast. (Not that I need a full board, but hot eggs would’ve made it already much better).

As I was driving during our stay with Horizon, it could be better that the property offer complimentary parking instead of RM5 per entry.

The location was great as the property was located in the heart of the city center. Easy access to food, shopping and entertainment.

The hotel room fixtures and fittings are all a bit bashed and there’s a lacklustre feel about it. The w.c. douche didn’t work and the safe needed new batteries.

Good location near to the night market and quay. Rooms had all the necessary facilities and amenities. Kettle, safe, ironing board, air con. Quiet outdoor pool area on 4th floor. Though limited space and only 2sunbeds.

Fridge not working when I checked into room. Stingy with toilet paper had to call housekeeping to bring more (they only bought me 1 roll). Instructions for safe wrong/not clear. Had to call maintenance to look at safe. Finally got it working. Pool only had 2 sun lounges so nowhere to lie except on edge of pool. For a 5star hotel it is unacceptable that they don't check fridge and have clearer/correct instructions on safe. Cleaning staff hopeless, they only made my bed, didn't empty rubbish bins, didn't wash coffee cups, didn't replace toilet paper. Unacceptable for category of hotel

Location. View from my deluxe room. It had a mini fridge (which didn't work so it had to be replaced) all toiletries, hairdryer, iron, well equipped gym, breakfast was excellent with alot of choice. I had 1 meal there and it was excellent.

Ants! Its everywhere. Bathtub draining extremely slow. No secondary lock in our room. The toilet mirror light(???),the wires was exposed. Maintenance need to do more since it's an old hotel. Don't replace things with cheap stuff.(Our pipe knob was from Mr.DIY.lol)

Location! Location! Location! I was glad they started back again the buffet breakfast...though not much choices but better then the set breakfast. The room is big and very comfortable. Thought there was that old musky smell but it's worth it. Pool was nice, gym equipment very limited but if you alone, you'll get a full workout. Overall, it was a nice staycation.

We hang up at the door to clean room for changing towels and toilet paper is very low. But we come back, they do not change new roll paper and small towel just change one. Why? I think this is basic check.

bathroom could be cleaner, but really those were minor things

we're accomodated on 12th floor, so the view was amazing, room was sunny and big, with all the equipment you need for few nights stay. amenities were bit older but all in good condition. Room 30m2 more than enough, there was plenty of space for our 4 luggages.

Shower glass door did not have any rubber stopper / seal on the bottom part hence it will hit directly the cement and have risk for glass breakage. Besides that water from shower area will flow to the toilet area and will make it slippery. Lighting on vanity bathroom mirror should be improved. In house guest need to pay for the parking fee. 🥲🥲 Otherwise, everything else is okay.

Superb location and viewing! This is an old hotel but the facilities are well maintained. Good local style breakfast and friendly staff.
