An exceptional lodge in the middle of nature with attention to detail.

When booking we were only able to book one night, only to get there and find out we could have stayed more nights. So we never really got to enjoy our nice big room before we moved on up the road. So I suggest also contacting the nature resort when booking.

Beautiful gardens and restaurant/reception area. Located a very short walk to the Orangutan Sanctuary and Sunbear Conservation Park. The room and bathroom were really big and very nice; we had a two storey bungalow for 2 adults and 1 child with a nice view into the gardens.

The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable. The setting was beautiful and peaceful and a very short walk to the orangutan and sunbear centres. On site bar and restaurant was great too.

Just a warning, this hotel has a similar name to another hotel. Our taxi brought us to the wrong one! There are strange opening hours for the restaurant so you just have to plan around this.

The location is great, few minute walk to the Orangutan sanctuary. Situated on a lake which was lovely to overlook. Food was tasty. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The gardens are fantastic, the whole place is an experience.

The shower was extremely weak it was easier to put the tap on and go underneath that, the pressure needs to be looked into but it was hot. The menu was limited for vegan & vegetarian. Wasn’t given prior warning that they are renovating by adding new rooms and a pool which can be seen from main restaurant/bar. We didn’t mind it but it may put others off, better to have advised before we got there.

Great proximity to the orangutans, sun bears & RDC. Lovely natural setting, rooms much more spacious and luxurious than expected, I thought it would be more basic for being more remote in Sepilok. Pretty good value beers around £2.80. Saw monitor lizard & kingfisher in the water. Very peaceful.

Big, clean, luxurious chalets with beautiful surroundings. Great restaurant with some delicious cocktails and good breakfast. Close to the sanctuary and friendly staff.

Staff were lovey. Extremely convenient for Orangutan,Sun bear sanctuaries and Rainforest Discovery Centre . Feel like you are in the Borneo jungle staying at lodges .

I like everything about the property

Good quality with excellent staff. Food is also high quality. Wonderful selection of cocktails. Very nice relaxation areas where one can socialise or be be alone with Nature.

There was building work happening during our stay, which did interrupt the peaceful nature of the setting, however, completely understandable that these types of work have to be undertaken to maintain and improve the lodge - so didn’t really bother us. And the pool they’re building will be a bonus for future guests!

The hotel is perfectly situated for visits to the orang-utan and sun bear rehabilitation centres. The staff were very friendly and helpful in booking taxis/tours etc; and we really enjoyed the ambience of the lodge.

Minor grievances like phones not working and creaky floors. Also there is some construction on the grounds for expansion, but there is minimal inconvenience experienced. Should be completed by Mid 2024.

Beautiful chalet . Feels rustic and luxurious at the same time. Good choice of western and Asian food. Perfect location right next to the Orangutang and Sunbear Sanctuaries.

Location, the staff were amazing, rooms, facilities were excellent. Food very good, especially the burger, and beef and chicken curry. The hotel arranged our trips, and taxis, all drivers were excellent. Definitely would recommend.

Beautifully finished rooms surrounded by incredible nature. Very close to the orangutan and sunbear conservation centres. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
