Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaShower wasn't that hot or powerful. No corkscrew in room, we had brought a bottle of wine to the island and had to ask the staff in the restaurant to open it (which they happily did).
Huge gorgeous room, big comfy bed. Just an amazing space. Everything spotlessly clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Pool area really nice. An incredibly relaxing experience. Breakfast options are really extensive and delicious. Great value for money considering you get ferry transfer, buffet breakfast, snorkel hire and 1L bottle of water (each) included.

AustraliaThe buffet breakfast is fair, though there was a strange shortage of fresh vegetables. However, lunch and dinner are well below par for a hotel of this standing. They lost us completely after a $50 pizza which a child could make in one minute. We chose to take the boat and eat in town.
This is without doubt a stunning location and the staff work hard to make your stay a pleasant one.

AustraliaSeemed a bit understaffed and some communication barriers. Good and drinks for dinner buffets took especially long to make and the pool bar was only open one afternoon. It was our honeymoon weekend and we’d hoped to have something special to acknowledge this.
Gorgeous location, great breakfast, great room! We enjoyed the relaxed nature of the island and beautiful views. We loved being greeted with ‘bonjour’ by all staff. The on-site massage was absolutely wonderful and the JetSki hire was really fun.

AustraliaSeagull problem at the food hall- if you sit outside, prepare to defend your plate. After day one we sat inside. Staff aren’t the quickest to refill empty things at buffet like cutlery, but you know, island time. They charged our room fee overnight before checkout without confirming the credit card we wanted to use.
The over water bungalows are amazing, great views, private stairs to water, huge bathroom and comfy bed with 6 duck feather pillows. Bit of a walk about 300m from the food hall so just heads up if you have mobility issues. The food hall where the buffets are served (included breakfast, they also do lunch and dinner- best option for dinner), have broad range of options for brekky and dinner, meat can be a bit dry and not a lot of vege options but they freshly cook by demand a few options every night. Omelettes are fresh and good at brekky. They have a half buffet option for dinner so you pay less and do only the cold meats or only the hot meats. Both include dessert bar which is tremendous. The whole trip is just eat, waddle to room, nap, swim repeat. The cafe near reception buisson it’s called- do great fish and beef burgers for lunch. The staff are all super friendly. Tap water is drinkable so refill your bottle in the fridge. The ferry to town is useful too to see it if you want, we booked the night before and you have to plan which boat you want back ahead of leaving. Oh and free snorkel hire. No mozzies.

ItalyWe have truly loved this place! Great and super kind staff, AMAZING Cristal clear water around this small island, super nice and clean bungalows with all that you need. We had the one on the beach and it was just divine! Honestly speaking I really don't understand some previous reviews saying that food is not good. You have a huge choice of food, and the quality is also good! Breakfast was truly great! Pasta was even great! ( And I am from Italy!) I would definitely recommend it and come back if I will ever have the chance again! Thank you to all the staff. You are very kind and welcoming 😊

New ZealandVery hard to fault the property overall. However, we had quite dirty floors in the rooms so needed to wash our feet before bed.
We stayed in the overwater bungalow, not deluxe but arguably better. Suite 167 is right above the ‘turtle haven’ where they are regularly spotted. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Very easy transport between the island and mainland Noumea.

New ZealandThe food offerings were poor and expensive, they were often out of a lot of things. We stayed on an overwater bungalow with the deck over the water, some sort of sun shade would be good so you could get out of the sun but have to go inside. Pillows- too soft, maybe offer a pillow menu.
This was the 3rd time we have been because the snorkelling and fish life is amazing. Lots of turtles to see which is something special.

AustraliaLanguage is a huge barrier. The bar was EXTREMELY slow, plus I was charged differently every time I ordered. The same order. The island itself needs a good tidy up. NO AIRCON IN LOUNGE ROOM LED TO MYSELF AND MY SIS GETTING PRICKLY HEAT.
The beds were amazing. Bungalows over the water , being able to swim from back deck was awesome. Swimming with turtles was amazing.

New ZealandI do think that they needed to have more staff at the front desk around check-out time as we were checking out a ferry had arrived with a lot of people checking in and only 2 staff available as well, so there were 2 massive long lines, was very hot and no drinking water available (the drinking water that is usually available at the front desk area had run out and not been replaced).
Beautiful island escape. Overwater luxury bungalow was amazing. Sea was warm, plenty of turtles swimming. Picture perfect scenery. Easy transfers via the ferry. Varied delicious buffet breakfast included.

New ZealandThe seagulls are a pest at breakfast and anytime you eat outside, you need to be constantly looking out for them if you eat by the pool. Then there's the other birds that come out at night, sounds like a Roman orgy. The breakfast buffet was good, but the dinner buffet left a lot to be desired and it would be great if there were more options to eat.
The location was fantastic, 30 minutes from Noumea and the regular ferry made it easy to go back and forth from the resort to the mainland. The beach was great and snorkeling with the turtles was my highlight. Fantastic pool and cooling off in the 30+ weather at the pool bar was cool.
