Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandIf it was rough, the small boat transfer was pretty intense if you got the wrong driver. Maybe they had the least experience, and I'm not sure. But there are the big ferry that you can catch as well.
Private, tropical, quiet if you stay in the bungalows above the water. The birds are pretty noisy in the accommodation on th Isalnd I heard, but they provide ear plugs should you need them. The food was amazing, and there was so much variety to choose from. The breakfast buffet was so delicious. All the animals added an exciting touch to your experience. Free transfers from the island to the mainland. They think of everything. Awesome service. Very clean. Wifi was awesome.

New ZealandPlease allow real cups in rooms. Advise of the wailing birds at night and the snakes so people can be informed. A la carte menu.
The buffet breakfast was fantastic, the Islet is beautiful and I loved the wildlife, beautiful hot weather and beautiful setting and beaches. Interesting birds.

New ZealandJust the swimming ban was a bit unfortunate.
The hotel and facilities have been great. Surfing snorkeling a bit of exploring all amazing. Staff was very friendly. Food was really good and an easy lunch menu and bar menu had something for everyone.

New ZealandNothing - but would recommend a small shallow pool for children or a gradual pool entry so you can cool off but not have to swim if you didn’t want to.
Amazing setting. Staying in the overwater bungalows was fabulous. So easy to see the fish, turtles- very special. Beautiful sunsets on your own private deck. Huge bathroom!! Separate bedroom & lounge. Absolutely recommend it. The buffet breakfast and dinners were delicious. There were water sports available but on this trip we just wanted time to relax with family.

AustraliaService from staff was inconsistent, especially at the bar. There were instances when I was waiting behind other customers at the bar waiting to be served. Once other customers had been served I was able to get to the bar. I waited to be asked what I wanted but I was never acknowledged by staff even though there were three staff there. One staff member was about 6 feet away from me cutting fruit but didn’t stop what they were doing to serve me even though they knew I was there. I had to ask someone to be served.
Rooms were great, spacious, clean and well designed

AustraliaHonestly not much - there was a very noisy seagull outside our bungalow that would squawk a lot as it was protecting it's nest, but I kind of liked that too because it was part of the natural environment (also the resort provides you with ear plugs for this very reason!). The wait times for food and drink from the bar were a bit slow, but we didn't have anywhere else to be so not really a problem.
Amazing amazing location. We stayed in one of the garden bungalows, which was nestled among the most beautiful trees and flowers, with birds wandering around everywhere. One of my favourite parts of the whole stay was taking the walk to and from the bungalow just to experience walking through the garden. The bungalow itself was so comfortable, clean, and well maintained. So much marine life to see, we saw turtles, fish and sea snakes just walking along the pier. The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. Also the buffets offered in the main restaurant were great!

AustraliaIt was a bit sad that due to the restrictions, we were not able to swim in the beach, but at least we were able to do kayay. Otherwise, I would have rate 10.
It's a paradise! Amazing resort with all the commodities that you need during your stay, tasty food and cleanliness rooms.

AustraliaFood and drinks a little overpriced but this didn’t surprise us given it’s a Hilton. Food did taste fantastic though!
We stayed in an over the water bungalow and it was worth every penny! The bungalow itself is clean, modern and fresh. Bed is fantastic (king size). Balcony over the water is superb with a large day bed - stairs lower down into the most beautiful water. Turtles swim right by! It’s absolute paradise. Pool is great and the resort itself is layed out so that you never feel like it’s busy! Great food (albeit a little overpriced, but to be expected). The staff are so wonderful and will help you with whatever you need. Boat service makes it very easy to access and do day trips into noumea.

AustraliaFood really lets this place down - overpriced, tasteless, overcooked, real shame. Like everything in Noumea, it’s very expensive to eat and drink, and you just have to be prepared to spend. There’s only 1 pool, which is freezing cold. The pool bar wasn’t operational during our stay, but apparently is open on the weekends. There’s not much to do around the island, so not sure why at least the pool bar doesn’t work. Terrible pillows, gave me very sore neck and I had to urgently see my chiropractor on return home. As it is a reserve, there are so many birds around, they get very loud at night. The hotel does provide ear plugs, but that’s not everyone’s choice to sleep with those. Also seagulls are super aggressive during the day and attack your food if eating outside, makes it even less enjoyable.
Absolutely stunning location and very pretty resort and the grounds, so much potential. The rooms are very spacious and fairly private.

AustraliaI ordered a snack of chips, they were deep fried to the point of almost being burned. The price of meals was a bit expensive for what they were.
The size of my Overwater bungalow exceeded my expectations. It was roomy and very comfortable. It offered alot of privacy from the neighbours due to the positioning of its balcony. Enjoyed laying in bed, curtains drawn and watching the ocean and waves against the island.

AustraliaBreakfast was good lunch was fair but expensive and dinner not the best as very poor and the price was not fair . My husband got food poisoning on the second day and only eating the resort food. In my room my tv was broke and the plug in the bath was broken . The manager tried to fix tv but it didn’t work sadly had no bath
Looked my overwater bungalow for the view and sitting relaxing with tropical fish and turtles swimming around . Bed was comfortable and changed daily with fresh towels . Good to have a small fridge in your bungalow

New ZealandThe pool bar was closed, which was a bummer. And the drink link at the bar was rather limited. Other than that it was hard to find things to complain about.
The place is truly picturesque, with turquoise water, swimming sea turtles and palm tress. The staff was very nice, spoke good English, and we had access to everything we needed. The gym was rather basic but had all enough equipment and space to complete fit sessions. We moved from the beach hut to the overwater bungalow after one night, and the overwater bungalows are certainly worth the price - if you're hesitating, stop, and go for it!
