Given we’ve stayed here before, I am making my judgement compared to my last experience. The previous time we were in Room 6 which was a fabulous room. This time we were put in the attic rooms which were quite basic in furnishings and not comparable to some of the other rooms in the hotel. As well, housekeeping was a bit lacking for these rooms. Old coffee cups weren’t removed and only beds made, but otherwise bathroom was left just as we left it. A bit disappointed compared to our last stay, though Jules and his staff were very friendly and the rest of the hotel was immaculate. On next visit, I will definitely check which rooms we’re being allocated to as not all rooms are of the same quality. But overall I can recommend.

we’ve stayed here before so we chose it again for its great location and facilities. Complimentary coffee machine in the lobby great for getting that much needed Cappuccino in the morning, Friendly staff. Nice breakfasts.

The room could be quite noisy at times, especially when other guests were going in and out of their rooms and we could hear the footsteps of the people upstairs. It can get quite noisy at night time outside with passing party-goers.

The hotel is perfectly located in Maastricht, just a stone's throw from Basiliek van Sint Servaas and the Vrijthof. The staff were very welcoming. There are tea and coffee amenities downstairs (possibility to sit in the downstairs lounge or take up to the room) with a selection of Blanche Dael teas and proper porcelain mugs and cups. There are also glass bottles of water to take upstairs. The room was very spacious and the bathroom included Rituals shampoo, shower gel and hand soap.

The bedrooms are quite plain but a good size. However the photographs on the internet are accurate and it was what I expected for the price. I would stay again.

Excellent location - in a quiet street but only five minutes walk to the centre. The reception rooms, lounge and breakfast area are stylish. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good value. It is a platter that the host brings to the breakfast room; it is not a buffet.

Spacious room for one adult and a teenager, my teen had her own little space with extra (single) bed that was comfortable. Hotel beautiful located, breakfast was well served with good selection of fruits, eggs, etc. Staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Shower hose was rather short and inflexible and drain drained rather slowly (but no water spilling on bathroom floor). Would have loved to have coffee/tea facilities in room but knew in advance - and coffee, tea and water are available downstairs.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Located in less busy street but still centrally located in the city center. Great spot for those who don't mind walking stairs and love walking around in city center.

The hotel is an absolute pleasure to stay in. It is beautifully decorated, very comfortable with lovely staff and atmosphere. The location I believe to be one of the best in the city, conveniently in the center on a quiet street in a lovely part of the city. Even the breakfast is perfect!

- There is no elevator. That means, if you're unlucky like me, you will have to lug up your luggage up 5 flights of stairs. - The cleaning is abysmal. Housekeeping did not clean the toilet. Also, the tv-stand actually had a layer of dust on it that can only have been accumulated in a matter of weeks, not a couple of days. I actually have video footage of it, but unfortunately it's not possible to upload videos from the app for reviews. I have uploaded a frame from the video to give an idea. - when booking the accommodation, I was given a choice: 2 single beds or a queen size bed. In the chat with the accommodation, I got a notification of my choice, i.e. queen-size bed, and if available it would be provided. At no point, was there any correspondence from the property with me that they would not be able grant my choice, the option they provided during booking. Upon arrival in the room, to my dismay I was confronted with the fact that I had to deal with 2 beds pushed together. I would expect any property to respond to requests in a timely manner if they are able to provide the options they themselves offer. Via Booking. Not in this case. The negligence in customer care is the primary reason for me to never book or even recommend this property to anyone. Ever. If I had known they would not be able to provide the option they themselves provide on Booking, I would have cancelled my reservation. - The lighting was horrible. - The pillows uncomfortable.

Toilet wasn't working for the duration, but they did give us breakfasr for two and paid for a taxi from the hotel to Maastricht train station as an apology. Breakfast was standard.

Information about access - steep stairs, no lift. The room we had booked was inaccessible for us with luggage. Rooms were cold, bed uncomfortable. "Superior room" apparently means with a bath as well as shower. Bath was enormous and would require gallons of water even if you wanted to use it! might look good, but ridiculous. The room we were given was small, no storage space - we kept one case on the floor, the other on a table. We were charged the same for this small room because it had a bath!! There was no door on the bathroom and toilet area, so no privacy. This is an old building, and public areas were very cold. Breakfast was the same every day and no choice. The fruit was two thin slices of melon, a couple of grapes and literally a teaspoon of kiwi!! Same two slices of ham and two pieces of cheese everyday. There are of course, no USB ports in the rooms. Some street noise at night from students!!
