Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWell, I’ve never had such a bad experience with any other hotel ever. The room was dirty - with someone’s towel on the bathroom floor, old toothbrush and someone’s hair all over the bathtub. The sheets were not changed. I left my suitcase in the room and left a sign on the door for the room to be cleaned. When I came back, the sheets were not changed and the toothbrush and hair were still in the bathroom. I went to the reception, but there was nobody, I checked again later, but still nobody. So, I had to sleep on the second bed in the room. The bed was so uncomfortable and hard that my body was aching all day afterwards. When I was leaving the hotel, I asked them for my key deposit refund and they told me that it will take a few days. It’s been 5 days now, I sent them an email, messages on Booking and even called them. The person on the phone told me a few times that “this is not their problem” and was very incompliant . CroatiaI didn’t like the hotel in general. It seems like very old and not so clean place to be. Also we booked 3 bed bedroom and one bed was so hard, the fewling was like you sleep on wooden table. Very unconfortable and only one night at that table (so called “bed”) caused me serious pain in my back that I needed to go on massage

Was perfect for a trip away to Rotterdam. Very close to town centre, only 10 minutes by bike. There's a water taxi terminal beside the hotel which drops you in the city centre. The hotel was hassle free, quick check-in and there is a supermarket and restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel is situated on the port which is very active with various boats, we were fortunate to get a room over looking the port.

United KingdomWhere do I start the bathroom was filthy and old. The room was dated and didn’t spear clean. The mattress was more like a mattress topper than something comfy you have at home, TV did not work - when asking reception for a tv remote I got told that the tv’s are not working. Had a poor sleep as quite noisy outside during the night AND to cap it all on arrival I had to pay a €50 deposit for my key!!. Will I be staying there again....... Never! It’s more of a hovel than a hotel. I can safely say it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
