Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong Kongthere is a gap between the standing of the hotel and the quality of the service offered : no car park available. No staff to help you carrying your luggage 🤷🏼♀️ The voiturier service costs 35€ per day. We parked our car in Boterdiep, 6 mn by walk and only 13€ per 24h. Also our room had a narrow staircase to reach the bathroom which is not suitable for old or overweighted person.
perfect location- beautiful place

IrelandI liked everything about the Prinsenhof Hotel. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The bedroom was so clean and beds extremely comfortable. Food was delicious. However, above all, I have never stayed in a hotel where staff were so pleasant and always smiling. Even on check in the lovely friendly receptionist showed us to our room and carried a case for us. Amazing WOW all round. I was so sad to leave but will be back sooner rather than later.

United KingdomI am incredibly picky when it comes to hotels - especially cleanliness - but this hotel was stunning. Spotless throughout: rooms, sheets, bathrooms. Very comfortable, and feels like a luxurious stay. Everything you could need down to slippers and robes. Staff are friendly, 24hour reception is a bonus. Building and rooms gorgeous. Our room looked out over the stunning Prinsentuin garden. The location is unbeatable in a quiet nook in the centre of town. Absolutely perfect.

United StatesHotel doesn't have AC. Which is normal for the area, it was just unusually warm this time of year.
Everything The hotel rivals a 5 star particularly given the room size, quality, and location.

NetherlandsIt’s not the first time we stay at Prinsenhof and quality is going up. The facility itself is impressing, rooms are big and done each in a unique style. Top location to explore city and brilliant restaurant with delicious food to recharge upon a busy day. I highly recommend this masterpiece of hotel art!

United StatesNothing. There is no A/C in the room but they already had 2 fans setup and the room was cool even though it was 85 degrees outside during the afternoon.
Everything. Staff, room, food, reception, servers, gardens….. They helped us also by printing forms we needed to mail package back to US. They could not have been any nicer or helpful. Our room overlooked the outside dining/drink area. Very quiet area.

NetherlandsFantastic location. Staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming and were more than happy to help us with anything. The room was well equipped, the bed was very comfy and had a nice view over the lovely garden. They also included a complementary minibar which was a special touch. We won’t hesitate to come back here next time!

NetherlandsThe price-quality ratio is not ideal - given their size, the rooms are somewhat overpriced. The room was rather small and we took an upgrade to a regular room (for a non-regular price).

BelgiumThe only small thing i would mention was the fact that the blinds, though very lovely and stylish, did not sufficiently darken the room. At half past 5 it was difficult to get back to sleep because of the light. Also, free bottles of shampoo etc as well as rather a big piece of soap in the loo are quite unnecessary as well as polluting.
Exquisite old building, beautifully restored with high quality materials - a feeling of true luxury and being pampered. Incredibly comfortable bed, great bathroom and shower and also, many complementary items, such as tea, coffee and even wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend this hotel.
